The Almost Biggest choke in DBack history

David Eckstein hits a 3 run homer. He's the biggest punch and judy hitter in history. DISGRACEFUL. I'd demand a trade if I was Dan Haren.

This is an absolute joke. Now we lose our star player to an injury because our bullpen is an absolute disgrace.

Edit: He is staying in nm.

Rauch coming to the mound brings me a lot of confidence.

I feel like I am living in the movie Groundhogs Day.

So how many runs does a starting pitcher need to leave the game ahead by where he doesn't have to worry? 9 runs now? A 4 run lead in the 9th inning is pretty bulletproof for most competent teams

At this point, I would offer the entire D'backs bullpen for the Nationals Pen.

Another scoreless inning for Rauch.

I'm starting to like him. :)

It wouldn't matter. I think Pete Rose has a secret union with our bullpen.

I will gladly eat crow. Rauch had a good inning and has pitched very well lately.

So we have runners on 1st and 3rd with 1 out and he keeps Zavata to hit and then he only makes it 2/3 of the next inning? Yea he is a major league manager.

In fairness he didn't have a whole lot of options. Rosales got banged around last night and is probably your worst arm in the bullpen and I think he is trying to avoid using Schlereth at all costs because A) he has pitched the last 2 nights and (more importantly) B) he doesn't want to risk having Schlereth lose the game and risk damaging his young pitchers confidence with him losing 3 games in a week.

I don't 100% disagree with this move. If Zavada were to have made any contact at all, chances are it would have been a double play anyways. If he strikes out, well, it's 2 outs regardless. May as well try to advance the runners and give Lopez a chance to drive in 2 with a single. (Instead of just 1.)

He could of had Max pinch hit.

Hinch just proved he is in over his head. Man on first, no outs and Parra has a 2-0 count and the short stop is pitching. Hinch has him bunt:bang: WTF. Of course the next guy walks.

Reynolds hits a 3-run homer off of Wilson. It's up to the bullpen to hold the lead.

The bullpen blows a 5-run lead in the 9th and then they throw a no-hitter for the next nine.

By the way, the title of this thread can now be changed.:)

No-hitter thrown over the last 9 innings by our "stellar" bullpen

Maybe its time to sit the "stars" of the bullpen for awhile?
