they said the same thing about Warren Moon and Randall Cunningham when DG picked them up off the scrap heap as well and took the Vikings to the playoffs.

You can't compare those that. The Vikes had 3 probowl OL on that team. Stuesie, Mcdaniel, and Christy. If we had that quality, I'd be all for it. But we don't, and Bledsoe isn't the type of player that gets the ball out quick and he can't even sidestep a rusher. You might as well put a cardboard cutout behind center for all the mobility Bledsoe has.

One thing people always forget on Bledsoe(and Brady for that matter) is that he's played his whole career in bad weather stadiums and when the weather turns bad, it's much tougher to throw the ball(like our game there this year). Can you imagine his career stats if he played in a dome and didn't have to worry about wind and rain and snow for 3-4 games every year?

Exactly what I was going to say. Much harder to stretch the field in NE and Buffalo.

And I don't get how Buffalo beating several bad teams during their winning streak becomes a criticism  Last time I checked we lost to the Niners twice.

again he and Josh were sacked at virtually the same rate last year, and Bledsoe's sacks came down IMMEDIATELY when they benched Henry for McGahee which is one big reason why I'm not in favor of Henry. From looking at their game stats and from comments a Bills fan made when that rumor first hit, it appears that "allegedly" Travis Henry is a lousy blitz pickup guy and that as soon as they got a guy in who can do that, Bledsoe became a much tougher guy to sack.

Nobody is saying Bledsoe is going to win any footraces but he can still get the ball downfield and he'sll see guys that our current QB's never see.

I can't wait to see who the Cards bring in it, be it Bledsoe, Garcia, Johnson, Carter or anybody else. Because I trust what Green will Do. I would not mind seeing Bledsoe, Brooks, Garcia or Carter at QB next year.

I said two days ago that players bring new life to their careers with other teams.

But I have watched Drew Bledsoe and I think it's about time he gave it up.

I suspect Bledsloe will be a starter for some NFL team next year.

Sure - I get that - but tell me - why did you leave this out:

QB: 15 TD Passes

Seems to me THE ENTIRE TEAM was hitting on all cylinders - I mean - did they get 21 FGs by kicking 70 yarders or did Drew, Willis and the rest of the team have anything to do with that? Hell Drew even had more TDs than the running backs if you just want to throw stats up there and protected the ball pretty well, with just 5 picks in that span.

I look at it this way - we are close to having a Bills like D - we create turnovers by the bunch and have the best red zone D in the league, we will - through the draft or FA get a RB to provide us with a running game and we already have better WR weapons than Buffalo did. So assuming Drew can be good enough to play great against the bad teams - which is really how any NFL playoff team becomes a playoff team and is able to win three or four other games against playoff teams, why couldn't he do it here? Especially considering DG's track record of elevating players who's career's looked to be on the downward slope?

See what I'm getting at?

Any team in the NFL who puts together a long winning streak you can bet the QB had a lot to do with it and I do not care what the record of the teams they are playing is. The QB touches the ball on nearly every offensive play and reads the defenses and makes the changes up at the line and throws or hands off the ball. You bet the QB be it Bledsloe or Manning has everything to do with a long winning streak. The QB has been and will always be the most important position on the team. Without a decent on you will never be a contender. It all starts with the QB which is why we need a decent one. I do not care if he is pulled off the scrap heap or what just get one in here who knows how to play football.

This is puzzling....Carter....he just had a relapse in his drug rehab....Garcia has a suspect Back and had a bad year....Bledsoe looked like the second coming of Billy Kilmer most of the year last year and if not for the Defense and Magahee...they would be talking to him about retiring and wondering if he is a Hall of famer or not.....Brooks is still under contract as of now. IMO...if these are the only guys we can get as starters, we should just look for a back up that has some skills like Flutie or McMahon. Josh and John will be good to go. That is my story and I am sticking to it.

I like Carter because of how young he is he came out early in College and has been on some bad teams, I think in Greens system he could be a servicable QB and for Bledsoe, Garcia or Brooks I think one of those guys could be the next W Moon, J George or Randall Cunningham that get reseructed in Greens System.

I agree and it probably won't be with us. Bledsoe is probably the best QB that will hit the FA market (and thats a pretty telling statement of NFL QB play) and so there will probably be a bidding war for his services.

For those that want him, I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Sadly, I believe you're right.
