So if Dockett plays out his entire career as a Cardinal, what would he have to accomplish to make the Ring of Honor?

He has 26 career sacks and 1 pro bowl appearance as a starter and 1 as a reserve. He has been on the All Pro team in 2009

not sure, multiple sack seasons, double digit numbers are harder for an interior lineman but get a couple/few of those would help,

large numbers of tackles for loss .fumble recoveries being a run stuffer and getting that ironman award for consecutive starts. but staying injury free is as much luck as it is skill and conditioning

doing all that and hoisting a lombardi at least once in his carrer i think would easily get him in the ring, maybe even the hall

all I know is that when he's on his game, and doesn't take a bunch of plays off he can be a game changer capable of taking a game over as a matter of fact,
anyway thats my take, glad to keep him around a while longer, and i'm happy he's happy.

it should translate in his play and get a C on his chest

Coincidence

I have a Cardinals calendar in my office. So I turn the page yesterday (Sept. 1) and guess who is the "poster boy" for September. Yep, Darnell Dockett. :koolaid:

Just keep playing at the level he's at, at least, for three or four more years. What's cool is that if he makes it we have two players that will be in the Ring of Honor on the team right now.

congratulations Double D, 9-0

I think He has not played up to this contract level so far, So I want more from him for this much money. Cap or no Cap.

I still doubt his leadership abilities. but I expect him play hard with better stats as Dwill and CC continue to develope.

It's the disappearing for much of the season and showing up in spurts, yes He is going to get double teamed and has been. Thats what happens to great players making over 10 million a year with 30 million guarenteed .

It doesn't have to be DD's stats but the Dline as a unit and the defense overall. more money than AW needs to produce pass rush and run stoppage.

They still look like they'll give up 45 points and 500 yards any given Sunday to a SB caliber team.

Thats not all on DD but it starts with him as the superstar pay on this Defense.

what is fair production for this money? more!

Don't forget that the Cards only gave up 17 points and 315 yards to a SB caliber team, picked off a future HOF QB twice, and held a probable future HOF RB to 19 yards in 16 carries.

But his IS the year this defense needs to step up. The two key guys have been paid. Another season of mailing it in once the Cards get a lead will not cut it.
