Anyone have info on BJ Ojulari? Haven’t heard anything about him in a while. Is he so injured prone that he’ll never play another down with the Cards, or is he a player who might have a future.

He tore his ACL in training camp and is on IR. There isn't much to report until OTAs. This is typical. We got spoiled with Kyler's injury since they were trying to rebuild his image, so we got overloaded with updates, which isn't typical.

He is the new Buster Davis except he cost a 2nd not a 3rd

at this point, BJ is 100% upside

We say flashes his first year. Lost last year to an ACL. Curious to see what the team has this coming year. The grade on BJ is "incomplete"

Buster Davis was cut coming out of his first training camp for goodness sake

If you recall, BJ Ojulari's rookie season got off to a slow start because he was recovering from a knee injury and couldn't practices during the pre-season. He still managed to get 4 sacks and 40 tackles while seeing limited action his rookie season. He's got a chance to be a good player if he can stay healthy. Lots of potential, but also lots of uncertainty.

Buster Davis, he is not.

As for those questioning the meetings things, players primary cover two things in those. They cover that happened last week and then scouting next week's opponents. Not sure why we would want BJ in those over key rehab so early. Or it would be strange for a player focusing on next season no engaged in the game planning of games this year.

This is looking at a stat sheet and not actually remembering how he played last year

He had two good games mid-season and then disappeared again. Word was he bulked up, but we never got to see it. He is still unknown, but it's not looking promising he can be a quality player.

A little quick to judge here. How was Trey McBride's rookie season, and he didn't have the excuse of missing all of his rookie pre-season workouts? I'm not saying he'll be a good player, just that he has a chance. Time will tell, but let's not rush to judgement based on his injury marred rookie year.

The meeting thing is less than a nothing burger.

Pro tip,
you really dont want injured players around the team all that much. Its hard to motivate these guys to go 100 percent balls out on every play when there is a walking business decision staring at them every day.... Injured dudes are bad for morale in most cases.

I am not judging, I am stating facts of what has occurred. I said he is still an unknown, which he is, and two years in is on the path of not being a quality player. He can change that with a good season next year, but I doubt he'll play a ton a snaps right away as he comes back on the ACL.

Year 1 - Didn't show much, had a quick two game flash and was otherwise invisible
Year 2 - Didn't play a snap
Year 3 - Will be eased back in coming off a major knee injury

For a second round pick, this is a bummer so far. Again, he can still turn it around and I am rooting for the kid to do so.

As for McBride, he was stuck behind Ertz his rookie year. BJ was stuck behind no one his rookie year and couldn't get major snaps until the last couple weeks of the season and still didn't do anything. Collins and Gardeck were the starters going in to the season.

This is his entire career in this single view.
