It has begun, the McGinnis loyalty era has ended. This is only the beginning and there will be a lot of new faces in Cardinal red next year. Green is parting the 'Red Sea' and doesn't care what anyone thinks of it.

I love it, I love that players on-field actions actually are now accountable, as opposed to as long as you have good character, your staring spot is locked.

A healthy KVB could be the turning point on this team. You think Pace's down turn after the preseason was just the game? It was because KVB wasn't on the field.

I would give you the fact he hasn't been healthy the last two seasons. To dismiss him now could be a huge mistake.

Memo to KVB: Wear the braces on BOTH knees!

Eh, KVB was getting pushed around like a little girl in the preseason. Sure, it was reported he was in 'great' shape...and it was reported he was getting manhandled in camp. I won't mind bringing him to camp, but I'm not sure he makes it out on the roster.

Come On! Even when healthy he dosent produce. He has not ever had an effective pass rush. To say pace's numbers were down because of KVB is hillarious. KVB was never double teamed so how would he affect pace's numbers. I'm sorry but he is just not a good DE period. If he was anywhere else he would have been cut.

KVB will get a chance to compete. There are only a handful "sure roster" players.

When he was healthy he did produce! Dang your memory is short. He was producing big time before the first injury. He was producing big during preseason. Yeah, he got hurt two years in a row. Can we count on a full season? Thats an argument. To say he hasn't done anything at all is BS.

The knees are questionable. The production when healthy isn't.

Now, can he be healthy for a full season? I don't know and neither do you. I sure as heck wouldn't count him out though.

How many sacks does he have in his carrer??????

The answer is 4. Thats all folks and he could not stop the run. 4 sacks in 19 career games is not good for a DE. Most of those sacks came on second down in the third quarter. He is a good lockerroom guy but nothing more. He is a sucky DE.

Where's K9 i know this is his favorite cardinal.

KVB is a solid rotation guy. Not a great starter, but a good 4th DE to have on the team.

You just said it yourself 4th DE. I never even heard of a fourth DE. The guy fourth on the depth chart at DE gets like 2 snaps a game. I wouldnt mind that so much i guess. As long as he isnt in there from more than 5-10 plays a game. Im sorry but the guy is one sorry @$$ DE.

I would be happy to have KVB start out with a few plays a game. If he proves himself, then he can play more snaps.

Dennis Johnson and Pace should both beat out KVB, and I think we are expecting us to get a solid DE somehow (Draft, RFA, UFA).

I think that is a very nice set of DE's:

1. Other
2. Pace
3. DJ
4. KVB

LOL, that is a great sentence..

But I love Dennis Green. Cutting Half the roster is great. Now all he has to do is get rid of the Bidwill's and Ill be a true Card fan. Ha!

But Im glad to see a coach come in and make a team his own. I love it.

Perfect example of why I'm glad Mac is gone is KVB. He was a very high 2nd round pick that was a reach, because of good character. The following picks after KVB were Alge Crumpler and Chad Johnson, a few selections after that Kris Jenkins and Fred Smoot were selected. Thiese were Pro Bowl players at need positioned Mac missed on.Wouldn't it be nice to have one of those as opposed to KVB today.

If they cut KVB, then thats one more jersey to add to my "not on the team anymore" list.

Lets see I have the following jerseys:

Boston
Lassiter
Jones (Thomas)
Plummer
Williams (Aeneas)
Rice ( Good ridance -- but was my favorite - only white jersey I had)
Swann

and now maybe KVB.....

Thats an entire closet full of players who are gone.... I really want a Boldin jersey, but if I'm the problem - I don't want to jinx the poor guy! Maybe the time is coming that if a player sees me in the stands with his jersey, he knows he's doomed.... :D

Nebsaska players can't play in the pros.Irving Fryar was about the best that comes to mind immediately and he was below average for a #1 overall pick.I'm sure there are some good players but i can't think of any.

Safety Mike Brown of the Bears went to Nebraska. He's a pretty decent player every time I watch him.

Other is a bad arse DE.

Saw him take a QB's head off one time.

Kinda reminds me of the movie Space Balls.....all the members of the crew had the same last name...A$$hole.

The DE for the Rams from ( Wistrom) Nebraska is preet Good. And I beleive he is a a UFA. He would a very good pick up for the Cardinals. Oh, and as a Mizzou fan I hate Nebraska. But that was a dumb statement about Nebraska players not being good pros.:D

gram and KVB

Ok, cheering for Gramatica departure…. Yeah, how many times did you hold your breath when a game was on the line… ok, now what about with Duncan and Rackers? I can see it not being in the Cards best interest to take a risk and give him a lot of cash to keep him and him not be healthy but I wouldn’t be saying good riddance.

As for KVB, it wasn’t too long when all you could read on these boards was about what a give it your all type of a player he was. He does have an injury knock but I’ll give the guy a chance. When rehabbed correctly surgically repaired knees are usually stronger than a normal knee.

To say he doesn’t play the run? What are you people watching? I’ve seen him make more plays chasing down the run BACKSIDE then the rest of your dline combined. I’ve watched him since his days up here as a Cornhusker and maybe he’s not the sackmaster everyone wanted, but give him some coaching, get him healthy, get him some help and let’s see what he can do. To say he is a washup at this point, is overboard.

I’d be a lot more worried about your guys wakefield and Bryant who haven’t done shi*. At least KVB has an excuse and unlike most people, he’ll be the last one to use his injuries as an excuse or a cop out. Maybe he won’t be as fast or as explosive, but I hope in time he does a great job of shutting you people up.

Oh and to defend my cornhuskers….
