It was very short but he said some things that I think shed some light in the mind of a FA.
He said that when you come to a team you look at a number of things. Who the coaches are. Who the owner is. Who they have on the team now. Who they LOST in FA and who they are SIGNING in FA. He said he has been in this league for awhile and those are the considerations that he makes. (I think other FAs do also as it seems logical to explore more than just money).
I do think that FAs wait to see what a team is doing to see if they are committed to winning. If you are a team that is well stocked then the decision may be a little different. But, when you have a team that has very little "star" appeal it must be that much more difficult to convince you have a plan for winning (and winning quickly). Hence our problem.
This is why Graves needs to get someone signed.
