Wait so what is best case scenario mcd should have had us at now, winning 45 games living in nba mediocrity. I saw that from 1996-2004, no thanks.

I'm 100% in on the timeline, i want to actually build a real championship contender 4 years from now when golden state is done steamrolling everybody, and mcd is doing the right moves as far as that. I put the acquiring of young talent as priority 1 far and ahead of anything else, especially selecting coaches.

Losing by 40 is inexcusable, which is why watson needed to go. but the timeline is going to be ugly this year if you really want to go in and get the franchise pf/c in this draft.

Being a laughingstock may happen, but philly was way more a laughingstock (10-72), and if embiid is healthy they are setup to run the east in a couple years.

If the tanking ride is going to make you queasy, you may get off, but I'm all in!

Tanking is pretty clearly the plan. They sat bledsoe last year, they didn't trade josh jackson for kyrie, they have a plan (i agree it started half way into mcd's tenure when they changed course).

Sarver flat out told season ticket holders last year you can't compete with a team with 4 all stars, and their goal is through a combo of draft/free agency have three entering there prime all stars by 2020.

That is the exact right plan, my biggest worry is that sarver goes back to being an impatient moron and scraps the plan midway.

You keep saying that but Watson DID NOT get a contract extension this summer. He was on year 2 of the 3 contract he got during the 2016 offseason. He wasn't fired 3 games into a 3 year deal.

Watson has wrecked Knight and Bledsoe.

Knight's instincts are so bad that I don't blame Watson for that. Bledsoe was never anything more than slightly above average for a starting PG, and he'll bounce back in a different environment.

I'm much more worried about Booker and Chriss.

This SHOULD be great for Booker, sadly I worry watson is too dumb to see booker's future is as the harden playing high pick and roll either scoring or creating. Hell, he was getting worthless tyson chandler easy buckets against the lakers
