This rumor is gaining traction according to Sporting News via CBS sports
http://www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on...ng-trading-eric-bledsoe-have-talked-to-knicks

Of course, as the draft draws closer, rumors traditionally become the norm. I'm hoping they make a bold move like this. At least it shows that they know they aren't going to get anywhere by picking 13th every year.

Giving up Bledsoe and #13 to pick #4 in this draft is not prudent considering that after Russell, KAT, and Okafor, the talent from 4-15 or so is roughly the same, and if somehow Russell falls to 4, New York picks him up.

Stay at 13 and keep Bledsoe. Simple.

After the top 3 i agree. So if you WANT a particular guy that could fall anywhere between #4 and #13 you go and get that guy. Unlike the NFL draft where you need to let the draft come to you, in the NBA you need to go get your guy because the value of these picks(outside of the top 5) is so low.

I'd like to keep Bledsoe because he can defend, but personally i don't like a whole lot about this roster as it stands so i say get what you can and move on. You can find quality guards a number of ways.

Other than Warren and Len i don't care who stays or goes. I'd like to see the frontcourt and Len in particular get some help in the paint. WCS can do that. I also like Turner.

Gambo says that the Suns want an established starter level player in addition to the #4 for Bledsoe. He also said such a trade will not likely happen.

He also says he thinks the Suns may take Harrell.

Just took a look at the Knicks roster - clearly that player would not be coming from the Knicks. Just putrid all around.

Alright McDonough get it done.

Again, if the Suns traded Bledsoe for #4, I'd do it. However, I would not part with the #13 pick.

Only if Russell was still on the board at #4.
Though I read a few days ago that prediction tools rate Russell as the prospect with the highest bust chance.

Porzingis, Hezonja are both risky picks.

Winslow, Mudiay I wouldn't be so sure that their ceiling is better than what Bledsoe already is.

I would too. Worst case at #4 is Mudiay and he's shown some pretty good PG ability on the court.

Bledsoe for Mudiay would be such a lateral move with high risk to blow up in their faces. I can't see that happen at all.

I'd probably draft Russell at #4 but I don't think he will be there. My thoughts are the Suns should solve their problems upfront by going center or PF with #4 and #13. These would be young players that can backup Len and Markieff while they learn. The Suns badly need a backup center and a backup PF. If the Suns had drafted Jusuf Nurkic in the last draft, they would only be looking to upgrade the PF position in this draft. The draft is not always filled with big men with potential. I think the Suns should take advantage. Turner and Portis sound nice.

RealGM reporting that Ainge has offered Marcus Smart, #16 and #28 to Philly for #3 AND Noel. :)

That's hilarious.

I would pull the trigger tomorrow at a shot at a top 5 pick. You have to take some risks. Playing our "two guard" system isn't much of a risk. Sadly, this appears to be some random scenario out there.

It is funny. I hope McDonough is making some crazy offers to improve the Suns as well.

I can see that reasoning. Would Bledsoe for Russell be the same to you? Do you value Russell that much more highly?

This. If anything DA is a gambler and is not afraid to blow things up. So, weird that we once had Ainge, Kerr and Gentry all part of this franchise and all those guys moved on to success. Maybe Sarver needs an Operations scout. :D

Certainly think Russell had a better year. Good players should put a video game numbers in China where I think the competition is significantly lower than that of Division I basketball.

That has been my concern about Mudiay all along. He has not played against any real competition.

Wow. So many have gone on to success after the Suns.

I know the impulse here is to trade Bledsoe for anything above bag of licorice, but Mudiay is probably one of the most overhyped players in this draft. I don't think he'll ever play up to EB's level.

And that's fine. Issue with Bledsoe is not that he can't play. The issue is that he is terribly overpaid. Point of trading Bledsoe (same applies to the twins) is to get rid of his contract.

Overpaid? Maybe. But terribly overpaid? That's pretty debateable.

Overall Bledsoe may always be the superior player but I think Mudiay may become better at being a floor general and running an offense much better than Bledsoe.
