Blocked a punt... are you kidding me?

I can't remember the last time we blocked a punt. Anyone else have that information handy?

This is the first time in a long time that we clearly won the special teams battle and we won.

I have been hard on Morey, but that was a tremendous play.

Gerald Hayes did it September 24, 2004 against the Seahawks at Sun Devil Stadium. The Cardinals won that day. Special Teams important? There is exhibit A and B. You can find exhibits C-Z when you say the name Devin Hester. He had another return for TD yesterday. Sick!

You know that cliched saying "he has another gear"? Hester actually does. That punt return yesterday was proof. If you give him the slightest light, it's over.

blocked punts just don't happen much. It seems like you see it more in college, but maybe that's because there are more teams. or maybe the nfl special teamers are just more professional? UT and VaTech do well blocking kicks.

Speaking of special teams we have two of the best (Rackers & Barr) when it comes to running down the field and making open field tackles. Barr's tackle on that punt was great and the inadvertenet head butt was even better. can you say TOUGHNESS!
