Any idea why Green doesn't get in the ears of the refs? I think if he did, there wouldn't be a need for players like Q to take it on themselves to voice their disapproval. Does Green ever say anything, to anyone while he's on the sideline?

That being put out there, I'm in total agreement with most, hail Q :notworthy . He could have let it go (as most of us agreed with him anyway) but he chose to do the right thing.

Green doesn't talk to anyone during a game unless it's on the headset. Not with players, coaches or refs. If you watch him he just stands there with his hands on his hips and a blank look on his face. I had alot of faith in him being the coach that we needed and he still might be, but I hoped that he would be a coach that was involved. This team needs COACHING!

Now if we can just get 52 more "Q's" we are set! Thanks "Q" I can show your letter to Hunter (my significant other's 7 year old) & he will understand the penalty....

I played hockey at all levels from age 5 to 30.

I saw referees screamed at by players, coaches and the crowd. Saw them physically attacked and even escourted by police out of town.

In the end - it all serves no good purpose in any sport because what I never saw was - ONE BAD CALL CHANGED - as a result of this attempt at intimidation and it didn't make a bit difference in terms of the game called subsequently.

Someone posted a story about coaches complaining to officials and it both supports and defeats your statement. They hate coaches who are constantly complaining without knowing the rules yet a coach that knows the rules and only complains when he is right gets their attention. Parcells was mentioned. If he complains about something then he is usually right, so they take note of what he says. So it can make a difference with the officials during a game. Green never complains at all so therefore he removes any possibility of making a difference.

Maybe Big will make a public apology for being a false start machine, and vow to never let it happen again?

It won't change the call already made... But it might and does sometimes change the call that hasn't yet been made!

God, the great thing about him is he is not just a product of the media...He would eat at Jillys after the Big Red Rage show last year and i started to become his regular server after about three or four shows...Always came in with his wife and kid, always polite, tipped well, and the rare time i would ask a Cardinals question he would answer....

The thing that used to amaze me is dude would order a huge cheese burger with double bacon and a side of mayo...and then get and chocolate chip cookie pie ala mode at the end...and finish it all. pLus a shake. Never got a drink, never saw him there drinking period (unlike many many Cardinal players) and he always was cordial.

This apology is another reason that this guy is becoming my favorite player in the NFL period.

The Cardinals are a bad inept team who have done tons of stupid s--t over the years...but lets give credit where credit is due...

The drafting and more importantly and telling the extending of his contract are possibly the two most important moves since they have been in Arizona....Seriously I love everything about this guy...including those penalties...for gods sakes someone get fired up...this losing and ref bias is ridiculous and i dont blame him at all...

saying all that i would bet with this apology he doesnt let it happen again....You the man Q!

He doesn't need to appologize to me. When you're right you're right. Anquan was right. I would accept an appology from those crap refs we've had in the past though. They owe us more than Q could ever make up for.

I'm with you 100%. Anquan was justified in his actions in my mind.

Justified in getting pissed off yes. Jusitified in taking off his helmet, heck no and there is no amount of debate that will make that right, none, and Boldin believes the same.

Yell and cuss at the refs just dont touch them or take your helmet off its as simple as that.

I disagree. Joe, do you watch the NBA? Sometimes in the NBA, when a team is losing and the refs are making bad call after bad call, the coach throws a major hissy-fit, gets a double technical called on him and is ejected. The team is penalized, and it hurts, but it also gets the crowd, the team, and the league looking at those officials. It fires up the team that their coach stood up for them, and it's generally viewed as a long-term positive to the team.

I think that's what Anquan was doing on Sunday. I stand behind him 100% in that.

and I still think he should've hit the damn ref with the helmet.

Bad example, NBA is totally different animal. You can get a technical for talking harshly to the refs, you wont in the NFL. Also a 4 point swing in the NBA is far easier to make up for in the NBA then it is in the NFL.

You really think taking his Helmet off is calling attention to the Refs? Not by a long shot.

Boldin knows he did wrong why dont the fans.

I don't think it's a bad example at all, but hey to each his own. I was frustrated with the refs watching the game. I think everyone else was too. There were a number of bad calls, no calls, and ticky-tack calls throughout the game. The crowd was getting restless at times, and I know in the stands I was screaming my head off. When Boldin took his helmet off and screamed at the ref, I was thinking "Right on!! Someone on the team actually cares as much as we do!!"

I still feel that way today. I firmly believe there was no way we were winning that game. Boldin was expressing the anger he and fans like myself were feeling. I for one love that kind of passion from a player. He wants to win as badly as we do. I will never fault him for that.

What a contrast:

Q apologizes for unsportsmanlike conduct in ONE game

TO cries, *******, moans, trash talks his own teammates and wants more money for MOST of his carreer

If my kids are watching football, I'm telling then that Q is a role model and T.O. is just a clown..like Homer Simpson, you think he's funny but you certainly don't wanna be like him

Owens has played in several post season games including last year's SuperBowl and has been named to 5 consecutive Pro Bowls. Q has none and one. If Q were in Oakland he'd be considered a Saint and be in a parade instead of writing an apology letter.

Nice Guys are great to bring to your kindergarten class for show and tell but they still finish last. Especially in the NFL. Football is a tough sport played by tough people not the soft nice guys with high motors that seem to always wear Cardinal Red. You guys are all over Leonard Davis for not being tough enough.

Having Boldin write that apology letter was senseless. Just perpetuates the image of the Cardinals as a soft, loser organization. If anyone needs to write an apology letter it's the front office apologizing for all the stupid draft picks and contract squabbles that have mired the team at the bottom of the NFL for 30 years. Don't write an apology Q, just keep running through 6 guys for TD's and wait to get across the sidelines before ripping off your helmet.

Sorry if I'm going in the opposite direction from most of you. Just another losing season wearing on me. I'll be fine by game time Sunday though. :D

Someone needs to start the "we aren't going to take this anymore" stand. I don't want to leave the stadium one more time thinking we got hosed by one sided calls and the players are sick of it too. Q did what needed to be done. The fans made their point a few weeks back. We really do need this. An attitude change is a coming.

Q blew it. He knew it.

He cost the team big with those needless penaties.

He should apologize and NOT DO IT AGAIN!

Beyond that...all hail Quan.

Bingo. Not only did he make those mistakes, after the game he basically said he wouldn't have done anything different.

Still, I love Q. Go Cards!

Totally agree. This 'woe is me we are the Cardinals' crap is getting old.

I don't accept Q's apology simply because I think he was completley justified in his actions. It's about time someone blew up after that display on Sunday.

So, nice-guys Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison aren't going to the superbowl this year? They haven't been to numerous post seasons? What about Hines Ward? What about Warrcik Dunn or Marshal Faulk?

If Boldoin didn't apologize he would have more success in the future?

You don't have to be a ******* like TO to be great. It's not because the Cardinals are "nice guys" that they haven't been successful.

Why it took someone a whole day to call BS on this post is beyond me.
