ok guys a guy at work bet me 50 bucks that Quan wouldnt get 1000 yards this year. Said it was a fluke. I think he will have 1000 by week 10. Any thoughts on the wise/unwise bet?

don't make that bet- Boldin's gonna have a good season and looks to be the real deal, but the pace you have him set on in your - oh wait - for the whole year - it's a toss up because teams are gonna key on him now - but it could happen. No way in hell he has 1000 by game 10 (I wish - he's on my fantasy team - but that one's a pipedream).

I think it is a pretty good bet, he only needs to average alittle over 50 yards per game. See if he will have an injury provision in the bet, no way to predict an injury.

I was betting on the fact that blake is gonna get a ton of passing yards and only has 2 targets and bolding is the only one that gets yac. I think 1000 yards easily. He is a quarter of the way there after 1 week lol
If the bet was that Boldin would reach 1000 yards by Week 10...then yes you're out 50 bucks.
If the bet was that Boldin would reach 1000 by the end of the year, ehhhh it's hard to say ... Boldin only needs about 55 yards a game to reach that, so you could very well win the 50 bucks.

The bet was that he would have 1000 yards by end of season. But I woulda made the bet if he said by week 12, id think about it by week 10. Cmon 50 yards a game? easily.

53 a game is very possible and it's very possible for a #1 receiver on a team not getting that ... equals out to 848 yards over the course of a season
last year over 30 players were able to average 53 for the course of a season (although that obviously includes their big games while i am excluding boldins)
however 1000 yards for a rookie is fairly rare .... i'd probably do it just to have something to follow ... it's like betting $3.33 each week that he'll hit 53 yards ... not a huge sum
i wouldnt' touch it for a bet by week 12 and definitely not by week 10

Well, Big Bang is on pace for 3,600 yards, so this is a no-brainer....

Boldin needs only another 80o yards in 15 games ... that's less than 55 yards per game. For a #1 WR it is a great bet. Good job.
