(Another) weird thought popped into my head.

Do you think it ever happened that a couple of coaches - each with a nicked-up star with similar talent at the same skill position - got together off-line to make a gentlemens' agreement not to start either player in order to let both of them heal without gaining or losing a competitive advantage?

Like for example, Wiz and Tomlin with regard to Q and Hines Ward.

Just wondering.

Jeff, Q has asked you not to insult him again by suggesting that Hines Ward is a similar talent.

Ward is a photocopy of a photocopy of Q.

:)

Well Boldin and Brown didnt practice today(Thursday) either. With us having to travel after a practice on Friday I think we can safely assume that neither one will be playing on Sunday.

Coach Mac might have been "nice" enough to agree to such a thing. Then, during the game, the opposing coach could be heard yelling, "psych!"

Levi out this weekend, Q doubtful

Coach Ken Whisenhunt has ruled tackle Levi Brown (sprained ankle) out for this weekend, while receiver Anquan Boldin is listed as doubtful. Whisenhunt did say Boldin has been feeling better (I did get a chance to talk to Boldin; that'll be in the notebook I post in an hour or so). The Rams don't have such luck. Seven players are officially listed as out now, with receiver Isaac Bruce, safety Corey Chavous and cornerback Tye Hill all officially getting the sit-down sentence Friday.

As a quick aside, the new podcast is up. And if you didn't already see on the main page, you can now subscribe to the podcasts on iTunes. Sorry it's a little late this week, but like all underground media, Cardinals Underground has to keep bouncing around both on the days we do it and where we tape it. Hey, it keeps us on our toes. All the more reason to subscribe so you don't have to think about finding it.

I have Boldin out, Harrison, and Andre Johnson out.

That being said I would rather the Cards sit Boldin this week and make sure this hip thing is taken care of. I think we can beat the Rams without Boldin.

We Probably Won't See Boldin Until After Our Bye

I'm big-time concerned about this hip injury as the pain tends to hang around for months. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Quan sits until after the bye, which will SUCK big time. He's definitely out this week & will be doubtful next week. If that's the case, Whiz will keep him out of the Skins game to give him an additional 2 weeks to heal. I've battled a bum hip for some time & it's an injury that never seems to heal. Can't sit, can't sleep, can't stand. I feel his pain!!

hey kps0001, love your avatar. Did some art work for the 80's group The Outfield and found out from them they originally where called the Baseball boys off that gang from the Warriors flick. Maybe the whole stadium should clank bottles together and tell the Rams to come out and play. LOL
