hey kps0001, love your avatar. Did some art work for the 80's group The Outfield and found out from them they originally where called the Baseball boys off that gang from the Warriors flick. Maybe the whole stadium should clank bottles together and tell the Rams to come out and play. LOL

That was the baseball furies, but of course they weren't the gang that did the bottle thing that was the leader of the gang who framed the Warriors for killing Cyrus.

Another movie that needs to be in teh classics of the 80's thread on the movie board if it's not already.

Such a great movie. Every time I watch it I pick up on something else that I never noticed before.

Such a deep movie on so many levels.

:D

Your not kidding. Hell, Donald owns two copies!

From the EV blog;

“I want to come back for more than just a game,” said receiver Anquan Boldin, who has missed the past two games with a sore hip and may also miss Sunday’s home game vs. Carolina.

“I feel we will be in the playoffs. I will be (expletive) off if I’m sitting out for a playoff game.

“I’m pushing it right to the edge. I want to be out there but I want to be smart about it.”

Boldin said he feels about “80 percent healthy” and that, “If we had to play a Super Bowl on Sunday, I’d probably be out there.”

Boldin was set to undergo an MRI and CT scan Thursday. He’ll decide whether he can play based on those tests and how he feels.

He said he’d prefer to practice rather than go into a game without real preparation.

“I feel practice gets you prepared for the game... the looks that you see. I’d rather practice rather than just going out there on Sundays and playing.”

thats him out then.

from what he is saying i would nt be shocked to see him out until after bye week, espc if we win on Sunday.

not a bad way of thinking as i would rather have him fit for another nine full games than half fir for 11.

It's worrisome to me that he's undergoing more MRI tests.

Obviously, this is a more serious injury than they first let-on. But, it does sound like he's on the mend. I'd almost rather have him sit out this week AND next week so that he can come out of the bye 100%.

There is no reason to run him out there this week, obviously another tweak to that hip ad he is going to be out a while.

:(

Uh-oh. Those tests this late in the game? I'm worried.

Don't be worried until you see the results.

From his quotes and Urban's piece, it seems like the MRI is to confirm good health, not verify bad health.

Have they ever specified if it is muscular or a joint problem?

I don't know. If he's screwing around and wrestling with Breaston.....I guess I'm not too worried if he's feeling good enough to do that.

Hip still slowing Boldin
Kent Somers
The Arizona Republic
Nov. 12, 2007 08:12 PM

Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin acknowledged recently that a hip injury likely will keep him from being 100 percent for the remainder of the season. His statistics since his return suggest that he might be missing some explosiveness.

Boldin has played in the past three games after missing three games because of the injury. Since his return, he has caught 14 passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns. That sometimes has been a day's work for him.

"He had a severe injury, and he worked hard to get back from it," coach Ken Whisenhunt said, "but your body can't recover, especially when you're out here pounding it every day in practice and in games.

"It really bothers him when he picks his leg up, and that's when you drive in and out of your routes. Until he gets back 100 percent, he's not going to be as good as maybe you would expect for him to be."

Apparently, the muscle tore from the bone. Not your average hip-pointer.

Thats what they finally revealed on TV that the muscle was torn away from the bone. Damn Im just amazed he was able to finish the Ravens game at all much less the way he did.

And, it certainly explains why I thought he didn't have his normal "pop" in going for a ball. He's gutting it out, which is admirable. We need him, even if he's just 80-90% effective.
