I was a big fan of Boldin but imho once you leave the team you either become the enemy depending on what team you got to (Dallas, SF and a few others) or some one i dont really care about anyhow. With Boldin because he gave so much to this franchise and because he was he was such a tough competitor i will give him more slack then other departee's but will nonetheless dislike him if he ever faces the Cardinals.

I'm more surprised that he didn't have a "hamstring" injury for their mini-camp and was able to participate.

I agree. It appeared that the writer intentionally wrote the article in a misleading way, such that he didn't actually misquote Boldin, but did the closest thing to doing so.

No he didn't. He wrote a sentence about the uniform, and then followed with a quote from Boldin about it.
