The Total Wine thing is really important - for those who don't know, if you go up to the customer service desk at Total Wine, they typically have some really good/harder to find bourbons there. Just ask!
For Sure! A lot of times the one at Tempe Marketplace has them set out on the counter. Although it's usually one per customer. It's the only place I have luck finding the hard to grab stuff that doesn't involve waiting in a long line for hours.

My wife and I both landed a bottle of "A Midwinter's Night Dram" by High West a couple of months ago that is near impossible to find. Another one of my favorites although it's a lot more expensive. I'm glad we snagged two bottles as we already killed one of them.

Was at my brother's place yesterday for Easter. He has a pretty nice set up .. a wine room with a kinda speakeasy vibe and a nice bar.

We were enjoying rum though.

This stuff was insane and I'm not a rum fan.

At $900 a bottle, it better come with a happy ending as well.

That wine Cellar!!!!
Yeah, they did that right. It's such a cool room. They converted a weird dining room into it last year.

The bar is in the basement and has a quartzite countertop and he embedded lights into it. So the lights are on in the pic on and it gives it a real awesome glow.

My wife has her collection scattered all over the house. It’s pretty much embarrassing. There isn’t a location in the house where you can’t see at least one bottle. Is that Feng Shui???

Oh and I want to see the speakeasy. We have talked about turning our den into a 1920s speakeasy. Going to replace the double doors with a hidden bookshelf Murphy door.
I have a Baratza Encore grinder as well.

This is the cabinet that I bought as an overflow for my wife’s bourbon/whiskey addiction. It’s 3 bottles deep and the doors barely close. This is just the extra stuff that she has.

Not sure why she needs 6 bottles of Eagle Rare or EH Taylor. I guess we are ready for the next pandemic or zombie apocalypse.

This is what I currently have in inventory. My brother got me into Bourbon. An expensive but delicious hobby. 1792 Full Proof is one of my favorites.

Wow! Got a lot of my favorites there! Henry McKenna 10 year is one of my Fav's!

My wife loves 1792. She has them all (12 year, Full Proof, Bottled in Bond, Small Batch, Single Barrel) except for the elusive Sweet Wheat. Been trying to find that one for her that isn't marked up like crazy. My favorite is the Aged 12 year but I also love the Full Proof.

Ironically we visited the 1792 facility and it was our least favorite of the 16 distilleries that we visited. Still love their bourbons though!

So I decided to inventory my wife's whiskey's to see what we have. Shakes head...

106 Bottles of Bourbons
16 Bottles of Ryes

Didn't even get to the international whiskeys (Scotch, Irish, Japanese, Thai, etc)

Yep, for around $30, it's hard to beat 1792.
Okaaaay. Now that is in my price range. I'll have to try it when I figure out a way to payback Uncle Sam and have some disposable income again.

I'd be interested in the international ones, since I'm not the one doing inventory. ;)
