Some good games. Some clunkers. Some questions.

Sugar Bowl? Oklahoma a BCS qualifier?

Big 11 qualifies and gets 7 bowl games . Get ready for a 1-6 record post season.;)

Who are you predicting for the win, Wally?

For the MNC. FSU in a barn burner. Lotsa points. This is one I am looking forward to. I think Auburn can hang. May be no defense in this one. If the spread is enough, and I think it will be close to 10 points, it might be worth a wager on Auburn.

I am giving thought to starting one of those Yahoo College Bowl Pick 'em games if there is any interest.

I can't wait for the Fiesta Bowl. Baylor is a hoot to watch.

There is not one single bowl game that I am looking forward to watching. Not one. So glad the BCS is on the way out, along with the conference affiliations (for the most part). Now the selection committee will be able to manufacture more compelling games and send the Big 10 also-rans to the bottom bowls, like they deserve.

I don't think anything will change. It will still be subjectively biased towards teams that have traveling fanbases and influential alum.

For the most part, you're right... The three that I am looking forward to are, of course the Holiday Bowl, along with the Orange Bowl and the BCS Championship...

So many meaningless yawners. CFB has by far the most anti-climactic postseason of any popular sport.

Couldn't disagree more. It's a college football fan's bonanza. Best chance to evaluate the conferences. Show case future draft picks that were not seen because of regional broadcasts.

Take a $100 and bet some $20 three team parlays. That should make the games interesting.

But this year the matchups aren't of much interest to me either.

It's pretty much the only chance. Since the sytem dictates that power teams can't afford an out of conference loss, we get a lot of Florida St vs Bethane Cookman and Idaho.

I don't know that bowl games are really much of a barometer of conference strength. The games are played 3 weeks to a month or more after the end of the team's regular season. Too much time to prepare for one team.

You also have the happy to be here vs the not happy to be here matchups which can greatly affect the outcome of the games.

As for out of conference games I wonder how the new 4 team playoff format will affect those Texas vs Wyoming type games. Apparently strength of schedule will now be more important than in the past.
