As the article quoted:

Chief Operating Officer Jason Rowley will take over the club's business operations as president. Lon Babby will continue serving as president of basketball operations, the team said in a statement.
Brad Casper wasn't actually the President of the Suns. 'Just the head honcho of business operations, which indirectly affects the basketball operations.

That position is cursed.

Didn't that guy who came out resign the position last year? Can't remember his name though...

Rick Welts had been the Suns president for nine years before resigning in September and accepting the same position with the Golden State Warriors.

Rowley had been the interim team president before Casper was named president. When Casper was hired, Rowley was named chief operating officer.
