Brad has consistently been our best player in 1st quarters this year. By far. He seems to cool off after that though. My theory is it has to do with the substitution pattern.

That and the fact that there are only so many balls to go around and we have 3 players who need to be fed constantly.

That is true to an extent, however in the 1st quarter Beal is at his best when all 3 are on the court.

In today's NBA it's not really an issue though. The big 3 can combine for about 48 shots per game and there is still 35+ shots for everyone else. Point being due to the number of shots being taken they can get those 48 shots fairly organically.

For comparison, in 2010 The Heat's big 3 averaged 50.7 shots per game and left just 26 shots for everyone else.

I think he defers to Durant and Booker to a fault. When things get tight late, he simply steps aside.

I'm in favor of getting what we can for this guy, the injuries were a concern before we got him, the injuries are a concern now that we have him. Yes yes yes, who wants him, what about his ntc...

Problem is he has a no trade clause. So, he is going to want to have to want to go where we send him.

@95pro in other words it's not just about what team wants him but where he wants to go as well. Those trade clauses are a nightmare.

When Beal is fully rested and healthy, we see what we did last night. Just seems when he starts playing consistently he starts to water down. Then we hit the injury button with him and it starts all over again. Hopefully he can play regularly from here on out.

Beal must’ve seen Kobe’s doctor in Germany because he came back looking spry as hell.
When healthy, I’ve been surprised at his level of tenacity on D this season. That was never really part of his game.

Unfortunately, dude just rarely stays healthy.

Yeah… it’s a pretty sucky-ass cycle.

When healthy, Beal is a star level player. The same with Durant and more.

The Suns championship hopes rest upon catching a wave at the end of the season and riding it home.

I think games like last night are why it can be frustrating to see the suggestions to bring Beal off the bench. He's not a bench player. He is still a star level player when he's healthy. He plays within the system more than Book or KD and already sacrifices the most to make this team work.

Beal last night was better than maybe a handful of games we've seen from Grayson or Royce over the last year and change. It's not like Beal had a fantastic outing either. He played the least amount of minutes of the big 3 and didn't get a single FT. He saw 27 minutes, which was the same as Nurk for lowest amongst starters. What Beal gave us was about what we should expect when he's healthy, high IQ basketball on offense and tenacious defense.

I can understand the frustration with his health and wanting to trade him due to tax issues his contract plays part in but that's a bit different than turning him into a Sixth Man, which is below his skill level.

When the Suns traded for KD all the chips went in. Beal and KD are the crown we have dreamed of. I want nothing more than to laugh at all the haters of the trade. Unfortunately Im a loser.
