i just watched john clayton say they might get quinn instead of peterson. im all for peterson to be on this team even if joe thomas is there
Fixed that for you...we can get a lineman in the 2nd, peterson will be a star, If he has a Line to block for him
and that would be the expected tenure for all players at those respective positions. That seems to be all that can be expected with injuries at RB position.Joe Thomas will start for 10 to 15 years. Peterson won't last much more than 5. IMO.
Thats who I am hoping for...Joe Staley in the 2nd would be real nice.

I have said from the beginning -- if Peterson is there (and you dont have the Texans offering a kings ransom to trade up), the Cards have to take him.
the draft isnt just a this season exercise -- its for the next five to eight seasons.
Could you absolutely imagine Thomas in the 1st ( if the other top 4 are gone ) and Staley for RT in the 2nd?

They really don't like either one of their QB's (Frye/Anderson). Quinn would be a logical choice.
The Browns/OSU fans want Troy Smith.
Troy Smith might be good, but there's no way they should take him until the 3rd round or so.
If Thomas is gone, and Peterson is still there at #5, it's likely he's a Cardinal. I'm just not that high on any of the defensive players or Levi Brown to take them at #5 overall.
Ask John Fox about having too many running backs. It's especially true with the Whis' new emphasis on the ground game. AP can be gradually phased in over the next year or two as the primary option.
All this is predicated on drafting the best tackle on the board in round 2.
I interpreted it as a joke. Maybe I am wrong.
I hope this drive of Quinn back up to where Detroit takes him. Then my evil plan will all come together.
