The Seattle Seahawks recently agreed to terms on a one-year contract with veteran safety D'Anthony Bell. Bell is currently penciled into a reverse role behind starters Julian Love and Coby Bryant. He'll replace Rayshawn Jenkins, who was released from his contract earlier this offseason.

Bell's deal was initially reported as a one-year contract without the more intricate details. Over The Cap has since updated that information. Bell will earn a base salary of $1.1 million. The breakdown includes a prorated signing bonus of just $100,000, with a guaranteed salary of $125,000. That does not guarantee he'll make the 53-man roster. The contract also includes a per-game roster bonus of $170,000. The cap number equals $1.370 million. The Seahawks could save $1.145 million by releasing him while carrying just $225,000 in dead money.

Bell entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Cleveland Browns following the 2022 NFL draft. He played his way onto their roster, appearing in 51 career games over the previous three campaigns. The former West Florida standout has recorded 61 career tackles, four pass breakups, two interceptions, and two quarterback hits. Bell played a team-leading 394 snaps on special teams last season. The Seahawks desperately need to improve their special teams in 2025.

Bell will get onto the field for the Seahawks this season as a core special teamer and rotational backup on defense.
