freakin out

Man I would be happy with a Beanie Hammy! After Ryan Williams knee!

Ham and Beans tastes much better than, Rye and Will iams!

Beanie is the most important player on this team, may be the best too! Has not had the oppurtunity to prove it!

He might be the most important RB, but let's put Max Hall at QB and then say who is the most important player on the team.

well

THT averaged 9 carrys a game as a starter last year, Beanie had 116 carriea all last year.
Max might (and others) be healthy and we would have won the weak NFCW last year If we would have protected any young QB with 30+ carries a game

Say Like Ryan, and Sanchez with the Jets- or Whisenhunt and Big Ben with the Steelers!

What we did was stupid, even after Matt Leinarts dumbest personell move ever in NFL history!

I think it's ridiculous. People ask why we don't run him more, myself included, and yet when he's a "featured" back (and still gets limited carries) and has this happen, you have to wonder. What if he were getting it 25+ carries a game. Maybe Whis knows he's a piece of glass.

if that's the case, why gut your team of depth in the only position you actually have it in? especially when the running back you drafted was injury prone also? especially when you're not even close to being up near the cap?

Totally agree, if you're talking about Hightower. I don't think there's anyone around that wouldn't love to have HT right now.

(edit: have to add, I think HT would have caught at least one of those screen passes to Beanie. Secondly, he adds a dimension in the passing game we don't get otherwise; Beanie can catch, but he can't run routes into the flats like Tim.)

LOL. Yeah, we "gutted" the RB position, even though we had Wells, Williams, LSH and Smith still on the team. It's obvious that you write fiction for a living.

Hightower was going to be our 2nd/3rd string back and he was gone at the end of the season no matter what. Hindsight is always 20/20 though, I guess. Next time I buy some stock can I borrow your crystal ball?

Why does anyone care that Hightower is gone? Even with the lack of depth at RB, having depth in fumbling ability doesn't exactly make this team better. I think some of us are just inured. I remember when I was excited about getting a top ten pick every year.

Shows

shows how ignorant Whiz is!

Beanie is much better, and would take DC to the playoffs in the NFCE!

If we have to roll Taylor out, at least we have a lead block style coming into tune this year, downside, it could give Kolb/Whiz/Miller a reason to pass more. We are kinda screwed if the Beanster is gimp. It could jack up everybodies job/stats. The deleted thing scares me, but like I said if we have a lead block (2 back), Taylor might be able to read the holes. Vision becomes more important and more of a skill when you got someone hitting the hole first, it's where the veteran (even if worn down some) can find the hole. You see the youngsters running into the pile all day. Really miss me some Williams right now.

True that, Timmy was good at somethings, and Beanie has seemed to learn some of those those traits. Saw some pretty nice blocks last week while trying to make a pocket.

Maybe we can offer Cards a crystal ball so they can peek into the future for season ending injuries... The position was solid even after Hightower trade.

This thread is a complete over reaction. The guy tweaked a hammy in practice. Big deal. He's limited in practice and some are ready to IR him for the year. Wells hasn't had hammy issues throughout his career so I'm not worried about it. There are some players that are constantly battling hammy's, Dante Stallworth comes to mind. Guess what, RB's get dinged now and then. He'll be fine. Find me a RB that hasn't has any hammy or knee issues in their career.

The made of glass comments are without merit. He missed all of two games at OSU. Last year he had a knee scoped(shocker for RB) and should have only miseed about 2 games, then had a medical reaction to a shot.

"Wells received an injection of Orthovisc, which is designed to provide lubrication in the joint, coach Ken Whisenhunt said.
"Very, very seldom do you have a reaction like he did," Whisenhunt told reporters. "So there is really nothing wrong with his knee. It's just about getting the swelling out."

I don't call that being "made of glass". That's kind of bad luck. I remember people saying Dansby was injury-prone. I hope Wells is as "injury-prone" as him. I remember going back and proving how KD was actually one of the most durable LB's in the game. The sad thing is, Ryan Williams is the guy who's likley made of glass. He's missed more games in college and pro than Wells by a wide margin, but people like him .

I'm not too concerned about this. Beanie may be limited in the game, but hasn't all the RBs been "limited" each game by Whiz anyway?

He isn't hurt. He said so himself at the Big Red Rage and he was walking without a limp. He basically had a light day in practice to rest up from being sore. He is ready to go Sunday.

If Ryan Williams was not hurt, he would be getting as many or more carries than Beanie by game 5
