I think it's ridiculous. People ask why we don't run him more, myself included, and yet when he's a "featured" back (and still gets limited carries) and has this happen, you have to wonder. What if he were getting it 25+ carries a game. Maybe Whis knows he's a piece of glass.

If he were getting it 25+ carries a game he'd be in the top 10 of all NFL RBs in # of carries in a season over the past 10 years.

18-20 carries a game is what the top run teams top backs average.

Just did a little research. The Cards have only had twenty 100 yard games from a single back in their last 178 games dating back to 2000! TWENTY!!!! Unreal.

yea

LYea Like THT,
Beanie has a 5.7 average, If Mike Miller and Kevin Kolb got their head out their AZ Beanie would dominate the NFL!

I don't know what your watching again? Beanie is gonna get the long runs rolling, 2-5 -20+ yarders per game.

He needs 7 early like He has asked for and then wear down the opposing defense Like WASHINGTON DID TO THE CARDS!

Its obvious to everybody, except maybe Whiz, Miller, Miller and Kolb?

If Ryan Williams was not hurt, he would be getting as many or more carries than Beanie by game 5

At the Big Red Rage Beanie basically made it sound like he went to the coaches at halftime and asked for the ball.

Rhodes talked about how seeing him run really fires up the defense.

I liked what we did in the third quarter with draws out of the shotgun against edge rushing. Hopefully we see more of that against Seattle should they bring the heat as well.

Why isn't Smith playing? I think he looked great in preseason? That is what I don't understand.

I thought he looked horrid in preseason, hes the guy who netted like 2.6 yards a carry in game 4 right?

We will see on Sunday. I have had my doubts about Wells being able to hold up for a season as the main back due to the hits he takes. I am happy that we can finally see what we have in him.

Nah, Alfonso Smith was like a train and was running people over. He looked really good, but ended up on the PS for some reason.

The guy that played on the 4th Preseason game was I think Palmer?

I was fairly impressed with Alphonso Smith in pre-season, here are his numbers:

VS Oak: 5 carries for 30 yds, 6.0 ypc, long of 8 yds.
VS GB: 12 carries for 39 yds, 3.3 ypc, long of 12 yds, 1 TD. Also, 2 Rec for 21 yds, long of 16 yds.

He didn't play in the final 2 pre-season games because Whis wanted to see what Powell could do.

Obviously I'd rather have Beanie Wells running the ball if he can play on Sunday, but hopefully Alphonso Smith can fill in decently if beanie can't go because I don't have any faith in Chester Taylor & LSH is still banged up.

Alphonso Smith? Beanie averaged 6.6 on 14 carries and some want to see Chester Taylor and Alphonso Smith!

I want to see 42 carries by Beanie and a win! He's 23 years old in his 3rd year with less than 300 carries in his first 2 years!, Can't get full speed reps in practice cause he destroys legends like AW.

7 carry agame even with injury/surgery/treatment gone bad. Should have got our OC fired! But we didn't have an OC! So We promoted our PGC to OC !

Now Our OC lets our new QB call 3 runs in the first half against a redskins team, after trading our our 3rd best RB, who is now a star!

Cause He averages more than 9 carries a game for a compentent NFL HC! OUR entire Coaching staff SUCKS! Same problem for years,

Look up redundent in the dictionary, It says SEE REDUNDENT!

I'm firmly on the "we need to run the ball more" bandwagon, but you need to admit it is at least a little concerning that Beanie needs a day off from practice to rest after carrying the ball only 14 times!

I'm all for establishing a balanced offsense, but we really don't have a solid option behind Beanie and over-working him is just as big a concern as under-utilizing him. I know you get fired up -- but 42 carries would be the one thing worse than 9 or 14 carries!! C'MON MAN!! :D

people ask about alphonso because beanie appeared injured, not because they think he is better than beanie.

Redundent in the dictionary actually says Noun: SMEL.

Jesus.

So I just tweeted @kentsomers. He says injury report comes out 2 days before gametime.

Have no idea if Beanie will be listed as probable, questionable or out. Thought they used to come out on Thur, but looks like that has changed.

The BIM has already been pointed out, and I must say this is my current nomination for most hilarious post of the year! WTG Shane!! :p

BTW - Props to Donald on the Jump to Conclusions mat pic!

Still uncalled for & not allowed on the board. Except for certain posters I guess.

1. Take into consideration the context of Shane's response and use of the term.

2. Check the definition of the word.

ESPN bottom line states that he is a game time decision. Hope this is just a little game that teams play.

I think that's right coaches love to keep the other team guessing. Do we need to game plan against the pass or the run?

I think Belichick (sp?) is famous for this. I think Beanie plays. If you are listed as questionable, does not mean you are not on the 45 active roster.
