Hightower has been a pleasant surprise as a rookie 5th round pick. However, is anyone more deserving for Most Improved Player? As a 3rd WR, he's on a pace to exceed 80 catches and possibly 1,000 yards... Incredible... I have a HUGE amount of respect for the kid. Returning punts and kicks as well. Amazing...
Runs great routes and catches everything that comes his way - unlike our former #3!!!

Not even Haley thought he would do anything as a WR before this year. Haley has been interviewed before and said he pretty much gave up on the idea of Breaston as a WR contributor last season. But then Breaston showed up to mini camps after spending the whole offseason with Lott and Breaston completely made him look silly for thinking that. Haley said that there was 3 guys on the team who are looking to learn something new everyday, they seek it out, those players are Fitz, Boldin, and Breaston.

Shows what hard work will get you. Shows that coaches should be looking for football players who are sponges in the learning process.

Breaston is a force to be reckoned with. The 49ers roll coverage to Fitz and Boldin and Breaston eats their lunch. He has good speed and is catching just about anything thrown his way. Dude is also tuff as nails. He has taken some big time hits and just pops right back up smiling.

I don't agree with him returning KO's and would like to see someone added to return punts next year. Whiz won't make the change easily because Breaston NEVER fumbles or muffs the ball.

This is my long winded version of agreeing with 82grad.

Has a team ever had 3, 1000 yard receivers? The Colts with Wayne, Stokley and Harrison? (too lazy to look up)

Those guys, plus I think, the Skins with Monk, Sanders and Clark.

Seems like the Chargers did it once too, with Fouts. Maybe more, but I don't recall.

I have been very pleased with Steve. The hard work he put in is really showing in his play. He has really been able to hang onto the ball this year and make some big catches.
