He's listed as having a hamstring injury on the injury report should we be nervous? he's one of those slight guys that's reliant on speed and acceleration a hamstring injury can linger for weeks.

It's the first I've heard of him being hurt I assume it happened in practice.

Who's fielding punts?

We can assume JJ will do the kickoff duties of Steve can't go.

He tweaked it during the game. The Trib this morning said he will play Sunday.

Good I wonder if this means JJ will be active just in case the hammy bugs Steve?

Thanks for the title change mods.

I think they should activate JJ anyways and give him the kickoff return duties. Breaston is right where he left off concerning Punt returns being in the top 10 an all. But unfortanatly he is also where he left off concerning Kickoff returns, which is way below average. Need to mix it up in that regard.

Agreed! Arrington is better at kick-off return than Breaston.

Also I would like to see Arrington available for a few plays offensively. He definitely showed a little more flash in pre-season this year.

I disagree....JJ is not better than Breaston.

JJ while fast can not take contact without going down. Sproiles for San Diego can take more of a hit and stay up than JJ. I'm not on the JJ bandwagon. I feel he's got a lot to prove.

I'll take Breaston every day.

Kickoff returns last year and this preseason he has without a doubt been taking contact like a pro. Doesnt shy away from it either. Goes balls out on kickoff coverage as well.

Just watch tapes of last years and this preseasons kickoff returns. He does not go down with first contact or go down easily.

I think his running style on run plays in the past is clouding your judgement on other aspects of his game.

JJ has a slight better average then Breaston last year but there is something clearly wrong with Breastons kickoff returns racking up a league low and ultra crappy 16 yards a return. That has to be better.

hmmm.... JJ for Castille... Perhaps... I'm not crazy about that though...

Considering one of Castille or Smith isnt doing much during any of the last 2 games anyways, dont see the need for two FB's.

I suspect he meant that JJ's KO return average was better than Breaston's both last year and in preseason, 22.8 to 22.4 last year, 34.6 to 25.3 in the preseason. He actually outdid him last preseason too.

JJ can't return punts or play WR like Breaston but so far he's been a better KOR guy slightly so if Breaston isn't 100% I'd expect them to activate JJ.

I didn't notice, did Alan Branch play last week?

I'm not sure how many minutes he played, but the stats showed he had 2 tackles. When I watched the replay, I saw him plug up the middle against the Miami marine mammals pretty well on a couple plays
