Milwaukee split a series between Cleveland.
RJ gets inducted into the HOF on Sunday

Pitching Matchups

Fiers vs Godley
Nelson vs Corbin
Jungmann vs De La Rosa
Garza vs Hellickson

On paper this series calls for a sweep.

Dbacks split the series.

This team has totally lost its Mojo. Goldy, AJ and Tomas all striking out in the 9th with the bases loaded was PATHETIC. Not just striking out but taking hanging sliders, waving at balls that hit 3 feet in front of the plate....

Turble, just turble. These kids should be playing loose and having fun. They look like they're wound tighter than Cameron from Ferris Beuhler.

I want to say the Dbacks sweep the series but my head says the team takes 3 of 4.

Who is Godley?

The Diamondbacks have announced that right-hander Zack Godley will get the call from Double-A to start Thursday's game against the Brewers. Godley, a 2013 10th-round draft pick, has not pitched higher than Double-A in his professional career. He was acquired by Arizona in the offseason as part of the deal that sent Miguel Montero to the Cubs.

In 2015, Godley has split time between Class A Visalia and Double-A Mobile. Overall, he is 9-4 with a 2.72 ERA over 17 appearances (15 starts).

He has struggled in his three starts with Double-A however, going 1-1 with a 5.14 ERA.

^ Yep, the farm system is empty. If the D'backs were competitive, Josh Collmenter would be back in the rotation.

Good news for the Dback pitchers, they won't have to face Aramis Ramirez....he's been traded.

2 fly out balls for Godley and a strike out, good start to the game for him.

Great performance by Godley but it's only 1 start. Let's see how he performs once teams gather information on him. He made jump from AA ball where he struggled after impressing in A ball, there probably isn't a detailed scouting report on him.
