This is interesting. If Whiz and company whiff and he signs here for similar money or LESS, it will be yet another feather in our caps and ringing endorsement of the current regime, top to bottom.. while simultaneously being a rip on Whiz and of course the Titans as a whole, not just him. How far we have come so quickly. At the end of '12 I'm at the last game with a bag on my head as our losing streak reaches 9 games. Now, we're a desired destination for free agents, and SF is looking as bad as they did back in the dark years of Dennis Erickson. Wow.

Kent Somers @kentsomers
Only that it's not today. RT @BobbyRobles89: @kentsomers any word on Orakpo visit?

This doesn't sound very promising at least since he was supposed to visit today according to jurecki.

Would love it. But not holding my breath on this one. Titans have LOTS of cap space. They will overpay.

Fwiw: orakpo staying overnight in Tennessee, hanging with friends. Then off to Arizona.

Looks like he might make it out of Tennessee after all. Lets hope so.

Source on Orakpo (@rak98) and #Titans: "It's up in the air."
So we wait.

Is he worth it? Is he a solid player besides the injuries?

I feel like we should officially change our name to "Arizona Cardinals if healthy" based on our signings and targets.

Yep, maybe they are just figuring that after last year the injury gods have moved on to another team now.

My buddy who is a Redskins diehard and season ticket holder doesn't think he is worth it. He has town one pectoral twice, and the other one once. This is the kind of injury that tends to keep happening. If we bring him in knowing he is only playing on obvious pass downs then he can probably survive the season. If he wants every down money let Whiz have him.

Though, snatching him away from Whiz would be glorious.

In my opinion, if Whiz covets someone, run the other way.

I am really scared for Marcus Mariota after hearing the Titans were going to work him out after all. Whiz would ruin him, he is way too nice of a guy.

Just wondering if you could tell me what other quarterbacks Whiz has ruined?

Yup... Which didn't ruin anybody the quarterbacks that he supposedly ruined were no talent crappy QBs never should've been starting to begin with. Now they want to knock his ability to recognize somebody that can pick up and start in this league I get it to say he ruined them is ludicrous.

Well, according to some on this board, including THESMEL, The Leenart was definitely ruined by Whiz.

IMO, though, it's not so much that he ruined QB's, rather he just couldn't coach up average to below-average talent to be successful in the NFL.

Matt Leinart just sucked plain and simple overhyped USC product who never really had a head for the NFL game. Which was proven by his lack of success post Whiz as well...
