John Keim @john_keim
Linebacker Brian Orakpo will visit Tennessee as @RapSheet reported. He will then visit Arizona per source. #Cardinals

With all the injuries he's had, I'm sure he'll be looking for the biggest payday.

I'd love him here. For real. Especially if he's got a handle on those pec injuries and resistance bands work.

He's a monster when healthy. And with these signings, odds are we'll have at least one healthy monster per game. :)

Who are the elite and healthy options right now?

Seriously. Orakpo is the most talented guy remaining. Weatherspoon is worth a one year risk for his potential amazing talent.

Healthy, elite options at most positions are rarely available.

They are guys who if didn't get injured, would be seen in a much higher light, and more money.

We're taking a risk, but buying low. The talent is there though.

Anyone one of them can in my opinion break the Ginger Hag in two, if healthy (that is the issue or not suspended)... that would be a very fast and dangerous group of LBs

No way can we compete with Titans from a salary viewpoint as they are $44 million under the cap. However, does he want to play for one of the worst teams in the NFL???

when you're a major injury risk and still young, probably can't blame the guy if he takes what would likely be a much bigger payday.

Once upon a time, players like this would use the Cards to jack up their contract from another team and then sign with that team for less money. (ie - Vonnie Holliday, TWICE)

Hopefully, something similar will happen for us with Orakpo. If we can get a player of this talent level to sign with the Cards for less money --- we've done a full 180 as a franchise when it comes to getting players.

Very true, in fact he may sign with the Titans without even coming here for a visit, especially if they put a deal on the table too big to refuse.

Yep but he should only sign if they give him a huge huge deal. Otherwise it wouldn't hurt him to visit here and even get the redskins involved if their still interested in retaining him.

It's probably difficult to look this far ahead for a player, especially one with the injury history he has, but a "moderately" large deal now may be short sided compared to a prove it contract with an above average to elite defense for one year before hitting the market again.
