i think this pretty much guarantees that no OL in rounds 1 or 2They can still draft tevon Jenkins if they trade down, he will bring athleticism and nastiness, and finally our line would be a strenght
Then getting a cb in round 2

So, like Winters.
A 24 year old has scope to improve. A 30 year old is already set at bad.
Didn't the Raiders just trade one of their starting guards for a late pick?
How was he rated?
Thanks for the input.Gabe Jackson

Financial and quality wise would that have been a better move?
Cutting Mason Cole for Brian Winters would be a very "Keim" thing to do.
I like the idea of Gilbert kicking inside to Guard. If Murray can do it, and we talk about Jones doing it, why not Gilbert?
He's always been a quality lineman and the move inside will limit any movement issues he has post injuries. He's also had a year of rest and costs vet min.
On a purely talent basis Gilbert is far better than any of the other options, if he can handle the move. I don't see why he couldn't.
The last time he played more than 7 games . . . 2016. Banking on him as your starter would be the dumbest move of Keim’s offseason. If he's healthy and motivated, Gilbert is the RT.
And banking on Alford is almost as dumb. The last time he played more than 7 games . . . 2016. Banking on him as your starter would be the dumbest move of Keim’s offseason.
2016 - 13 games
2017 - 7
2018 - 5
2019 - ZERO
2020 - ZERO

One would think soShould be rested
He hasn’t played a down in two years. He’s our Alford of the offense.I like the idea of Gilbert kicking inside to Guard. If Murray can do it, and we talk about Jones doing it, why not Gilbert?

Lol. Well, that’s one way to look at it.Should be rested
More than 2 years. He missed 11 games the year before. He hasn’t played a down in two years. He’s our Alford of the offense.

Of course not. He should be in the mix. But it’s certainly not a great “plan.” And definitely not an improvement for the future.I know, does that stop him trying to play Guard?
