This offense played well enough to win. Plain and simple. :bang:

I know, but I think he deserves it. I agreed with him about the pick and wanted to know what his choice would be at QB and he gets this attitude. I can be a dick too if he wants to play that game.

Your guy threw a killer pick.

It nearly killed the team, to his credit he made up for it later, he tends to play that way and I don't like that at all.

I'd prefer he'd not throw that rudimentary pick, as to what QB I'd prefer, well that's the problem there aren't QB's growing on trees.

I don't think I gave you attitude more than you were giving trying to force me into some bogus logic game.

My preference is my preference and I don't know why you care.

i think warner will retire. the chances of him going out any higher than this stage is very, very slim. i think he's proven enough and will walk away.

Why do you have to blame Kurt, instead of realizing Pittsburgh's defense is really that good. It's very hard to throw a TD pass that close in, especially against a defense such as the Pittsburgh Steelers. He tried to make the tackle after the bad pass, but was blocked out. :bang:

I'm not arguing about the tackle, he was blocked out and helpless, Walter Payton couldn't have shed that block.

It also cost points we did not score, it was huge.

To his credit he did awesome in the 2nd half, I'm not blaming the loss on him and I'm not arguing we shouldn't bring him back.

True, but lets face it. Pittsburgh's defense is the best in football and this offense never gave up, even though the Steelers defense held them in check for over 3 quarters. Too bad the Cardinals defense couldn't make the final stop, we wouldn't even be talking about this. :(

If he does retire, his last play in the Nfl would be fumbling in the Super Bowl. Sucky way to go out if he does retire. :(
Kurt is freeking amazing.

I hope that isn't Kurt's last play.

But I do hope that it was Aaron Francisco's last play.

The guy was total horseshiit.

Not so much care as curiosity. You don't have to like Warner but I have to wonder, with what I consider to be unrealistic standards, who you'd rather have. Active...retired...just curious who you'd like to see under center. You answered Plummer to someone else's similar question so I have to assume that's the guy you'd like running this offense and I understand your position even less if that's the case.

Turnovers and timing of turnovers are critical but 1 INT in his last 80 or so attempts...I just don't see how that is fairly criticized or less desirable than Plummer who was at least as bad of a culprit of the same shortcomings you claim to dislike Warner for.

The shame of it all is that if the defense stops them, all we talk about and hear is what a magical comeback it was!

Give up trying to have a conversation? The facts back me far more than you so I can't give up trying to win an argument. I'm already on the stronger side.

Dude, personal preference isn't about logic. He said Plummer wasn't as good a QB, but he was a fan of his. It's not logical, and it's not something you can actually win an argument about. He's entitled to like whoever he wants.

Edit:
I mean, ****. Let's say I'm a Colts fan and I loved Jim Harbaugh. The Colts replaced him with Peyton Manning. Manning was a pretty big upgrade, but I loved Harbaugh and didn't love Manning.

I'm not a Colts fan, but if I were, I'd think that position was totally defensible.

Yes, but as a Colts fan you also want what's best for the team. Like Manning, Kurt Warner is best for this team.

You don't have to like it tho, I do agree with you there. I don't think the poster said they actually dislike Kurt, just that they liked another player more. I don't know how someone can dislike like a good person like Kurt, but understand that people may like someone else more.

I agree but it isn't being argued that he just likes so-and-so because of his feathery hair or pretty eyes or some arbitrary reason. He doesn't like Warner because: "He's nearly the perfet QB but man I just don't like the way he plays."

I just wanted to know which QB he actually liked the play of to get a gauge of what his tastes actually are. He didn't explain why he just liked the "far, far, inferior" Plummer. Was it the porno-stache? The number 16? Hometown bias from his college days? It doesn't really matter because there's a difference from having a favorite and arguing against a QB that has cost the Cardinals games in the past(Plummer did too) or thrown an untimely interception(again, Plummer).

I'd like to see Kurt back as long as Matt Leinart is still on the team AND given a chance to compete for the starting job.
you can't start in the pro-bowl, break various team records, win 3 playoff games have your team ahead in the Super Bowl, posting a 112 rating vs.the #1 defense in the league and just expect to be handed the starting job. LOL

Agreed, Kurt Warner shouldn't be just handed the job. I'd say if he comes back, he'd be a lock to get the spot (as he should be).

Well, the thing is, strange things seem to happen to Warner after he takes his team to the Super Bowl. In 2000, he broke his hand the year after the 1999 Super Bowl and only appeared in 11 games. In 2002, he went 0-3 to start the season, broke his finger, and only appeared in 7 games.

You should always have a suitable backup QB. I stand by my statements.

The Rams also went to the playoffs in 2000 after Warner recovered. What happened to Brady after gong to the Super Bowl last year?

Yes, and I don't think St. Pierre is such. Emergency quarterback, sure. Backup QB who could start a significant amount of games, no.
Agreed and maybe Leinart is the latter. Honestly, I'm not sure what to do with the Leinart situation. He's going to get a lot of money to just hold a clipboard if Warner wants to come back.

If Kurt comes back he is handed the job, end of story. He has proven himself the starter and until he proves otherwise this is his team.

Kurt is the QB on this team. If Leinhart stays (and I hope he does), he needs to work harder at becoming a great QB. He isn't at the level of Kurt. Period.

Like I said in the OP, I don't know of a QB in the league who could have done what Kurt did tonight against the #1 defense in the league.
