Ya, bring on the Celtics. I am truly amazed how 3 meaningless wins over the bottom teams could make some people so high.

Without a solid D, this team is a typical fun to watch and doomed to fail team. For some fans it might be enjoyable. For me it is more than miserable.

we might as well be fun to watch if we're going to lose. Sucking and being boring is no good.

I like uptempo basketball but I somewhat agree with AceP about the entertainment value not being important. I got to the point I couldn't watch D'Antoni's teams because he had them on a trajectory that was close to doomed - IMO, was doomed. You've got to go into the post reason with enough in reserve to step up your game - your opponents will and if you expect them to play no better or no harder than they did in the regular season, you're just fooling yourself. On top of that they'll dissect your team and exploit weaknesses and push you away from your strengths. A particular failing of the Suns, which was a tradition long before D'A came on the scene, was that they were never up to the physical play that has always been the hallmark of the playoffs. I can't say that I enjoy that aspect of the playoffs but you'd better be prepared to cope with it if you hope to do well.

At this point I'm not too concerned about the playoffs this year because the Suns will need at least two miracles to be competitive but, at least we can see what direction Gentry is taking and whether any of our youngsters hold out any promise for the future. Just in case, we do get those miracles I still want him to get the team as ready as possible - which means, for example, keeping Nash's minutes down better than he has and resting Hill until his foot is healed. Four miracles are much less likely than two and the future is better served.
