The Denver Broncos could use more weapons for second-year quarterback Bo Nix, including a wide receiver.
This spring, Deebo Samuel and Cooper Kupp both had interest in joining the Broncos -- and Denver had at least some level of interest in Kupp -- but the team was unwilling to invest in either receiver.
With limited salary cap space, the Broncos might pivot to the NFL draft to find more talent at wide receiver. There are a few notable veteran free agents still available, though.
Notably, six-time Pro Bowler Keenan Allen remains unsigned. Allen is set to turn 33 next month, but he's coming off a 70-catch, 744-yard season with seven touchdowns in 2024. Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox believes Allen would be a good fit in Denver.
"Allen would fit well into Denver's offense, where he could spell Marvin Mims Jr. and Devaughn Vele on the perimeter or in the slot," Knox wrote on B/R. "His route-running, hands and experience could also benefit young quarterback Bo Nix as he continues to develop."
The list of veteran receivers still available also includes Stefon Diggs, Amari Cooper, Brandin Cooks, Tyler Boyd, Robert Woods and Michael Gallup. We'll see if the Broncos bring in any receivers ahead of the NFL draft next month.
