The Denver Broncos had a formal meeting with Ole Miss cornerback Trey Amos at the NFL combine earlier this offseason, according to a report from The Draft Network's Justin Melo.

Amos (6-1, 195 pounds) ran a 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds and a 10-yard split in 1.6 seconds at the combine. He spent the first three years of his college career at Louisiana before transferring to Alabama in 2023 and then to Ole Miss in 2024.

Amos had a breakout season last fall, earning first-team All-SEC recognition after recording 50 tackles, 13 pass breakups, three interceptions and one forced fumble in 13 games.

Amos is now projected as a second-round prospect in this year's NFL draft. The Broncos do not have an immediate need at outside cornerback with Pat Surtain and Riley Moss filling those two spots, but the team's depth was tested when Moss was sidelined with an injury in 2024.

Denver holds seven draft picks this year, including No. 51 overall in the second round.
