Is anyone interested and does anyone care?

I am for the NFL getting rid of this game all together. I'm a DIE HARD NFL fan and I'm not even going to take the time turn the game on, I won't listen to it on the radio, I won't read about it or even care that it happened.

Having watched the NFL for 28 years I hate the preseason, but nothing is more of a waste of time in life than watching game 4 of the NFL preseason.

How about you?

I agree and feel they should make this more of practice atmosphere with free admission. It’s ridiculous that they charge for it. I may tune in at first to sees who’s playing then probably switch over to college fb.

I've said they need to cut the preseason to 2 games

Then allow teams to have practices with 2 other teams during training camp. One away and one home. The teams will get more work done. The coaches can get a better evaluation and the 2 actual preseason games will mean a lot more.

I don't care if they add regular season games or not, but they MUST MUST MUST do away with at least 2 of the preseason games.

I believe the solution I posted above solves it.

For something that people say they don't care about, there is a lot of discussion about it

I say ZERO preseason games. The entire enterprise is archaic. it goes back to times when players worked other jobs during the offseason. Then, got back together and had to learn the playbook, get back into game shape, and practice.

Pro football is now a year round job. the players have worked together for months before camp starts. No reason for the preseason. just start playing games.

I will wind up watching more college ball, if the games are at all good, than the Cardinals tonight. Those games count at least.

I will watch as it's the Cardinals playing. Hats off to the guys who will be playing, it may be the last chance they get to chase their dream.

We need more threads discussing the watch-ability of preseason football games.

:grabs:

Can the season just start already?

I will probably watch the first hour or so. By the time you get to 3rd and 4th stringers the odds of any of them being on the team is almost zero.
