McCoy up close and personal, for what it's worth.
If I'm McCoy I'm riding that Peyton train until I get a/couple Superbowl ring/s and then after all the good times I can call my own shots on pretty much everything with the resume I'll have. Choices of awesome jobs, not the restoration jobs a lot of coaches get sunk in.
I'm hanging with Peyton Manning, might even get in on an ESPN commercial, pictures of me under the superbowl confetti. I thought Grimm went for some job interviews but nobody bit? Whiz might still be here if the O-line had someone else the last few years. The NFL has 32 HC jobs at any given time and 466 people have EVER been a HC. You take what you can get. If you have choices, then great, but you don't risk it. I remember Russ Grimm pulling his name out of the running during the SB run and has not gotten a sniff since.

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Arizona assistant coach Russ Grimm has been given permission by the Cardinals to talk to the Buffalo Bills about their head coaching job.
Grimm said on Tuesday, however, that no interview has been scheduled. He says the Bills are working through his agent Eric Metz and he doesn't know if any talks will materialize.
Kent Somers, of The Arizona Republic, reports Arizona Cardinals assistant head coach Russ Grimm is expected to turn down the opportunity to interview for the Buffalo Bills head coaching vacancy, according to ESPN. According to league sources, Grimm wants to find out more about the job before committing.
The play calling by Denver was pretty atrocious there. How in the world do you not let Manning throw that pass.
Doubt that McCoy has one play in his book calling for an across the body throw down the middle. That's Manning trying to make a play and it's not the first time that he blows it in the playoffs. Mr. one-and-done!
Yeah I was gonna say no thanks to McCoy if that was his call. I wonder who will get the blame for this loss.
Yamon.if you're talking about running the ball at the end of the 4th, I've got to believe that kneeling on the ball had to be Fox's call.

31* secondsJohn Fox should be ashamed of himself. That was a hard core choke job. One of the greatest qb's in history. 2 timeouts and 3 seconds to go? You absolutely can not sit on the ball there.

Why would anybody make such dramatic posts? McCoy has been successful with a number of QBs, not just one like other coaches get street cred for. McCoy still respects the run, so his defense won't be on the field 3/4 of the game whether they are winning or losing. More than one NFL team is interested in McCoy, so I feel dumb for partly answering your question. Why would anyone want McCoy as their coach? Whatever success the Broncos had on offense this year had much more to do with Manning at QB than anything McCoy was doing.

+1
The guy made Tebow look half way decent.
He also made Delhomme a pro bowler.

You can throw out what the Broncos did this year and he still has to be high on a lot of teams lists. It's more about what he did with Tebow, Orton and Delhomme than what he did with Peyton. Why would anyone read what I wrote as a dramatic statement?
I just don't see the reason for him being high on anyone's list of potential HC's.
