Could Glendale Arena become a KB Home-Ice Advantage for the Coyotes?

Still seeking a title sponsor for their 9-month-old, $200 million building, sources say the NHL team is in serious talks with the California-based home builder — which has several new developments in the West Valley, including one near the arena — and put the value of the possible namingrights deal in excess of $70 million.

Coyotes president Doug Moss confirmed that the team made a formal presentation to the KB folks at the arena but denied any deal is either complete or imminent, saying, "We’re talking to several people.’’ Attempts to reach KB spokesmen were not successful.

If a deal is all but finalized, it goes a long way toward explaining the Coyotes’ new role as a big player in this summer’s free agent derby, and why the projected payroll was recently increased to make room for free agent center Petr Nedved and a trade that brought Denis Gauthier and Oleg Syprykin to town.

I've actually heard Barnett state that the Coyotes would actually make more money if there is a lock out. Of course, he worded it as "lose less money" if there was a lock out since they wouldn't have to pay players' salaries.
