nice find. I liked him. Wouldn't be surprised to see Horton try to snag him again though

I'd like to, but I can't imagine we do, given the good things Arians has said about Okafor, and with Acho still on the roster. I'd imagine we're set at OLB this season unless someone special comes available.

Yes I would bring him in now before anybody else gets their mits on him

Might as well.

BUT you have to wonder why he was cut now. He's coming off an injury, he just played 5 games last year.

He is Titans bound.

Abraham
Shaughnessy
Acho
Okafor
Bernard

I would take all these guys over Groves, and I like Groves.

unfortunately, I can't find any ST-specific stats, but if I remember right, he was a major component on our Special Teams, when our ST was it's best. I think I remember him having a huge blocked punt

I agree solar. The one position where we have plenty of good players is OLB.

I think it was against the Patriots when we upset them at Boston! IIRC that either won the game for us or it set the stage for us to knock 'em out at home! What a game that was! A great road victory for the Big Red!

yeah man. That was exactly it. Set it up for the game-winning TD. I know one great play 2 years ago is hardly reason for a contract today. But out ST were better with him than without, and I can't really say we could have too many pass-rushers (though I don't see him being used for that often, if at all. But you never know, we could lose our top 3 in a week...)

I was there with my son for that game. Man was it awesome to walk out of there with a victory.

Groves game-by-game stats:

The Cards vs. Pats (scroll down for the play-by-play description):

Groves blocked the punt in 3rd Qtr / 9:48. Kolb followed up by tossing a 2yd TD to Andre Roberts.

Yeah Groves blocked punt set the stage for the W at Boston. It was the turning point in the game that gave us the Mo that we did not relinquish.

Actually since we traded TD's with the Pats after that TD it was the difference in the game!

Like the old saying goes...."Special Teams will beat you". Good Teams don't allow that to happen very often in the course of a season either.

I know you and your son were loving that feeling Wisconsin! I know if felt great to do that! What a great W for the Cards.

The next week we kick the Eagles ass at Glendale! We had so much momentum going. All it took was a Thursday Night game at St Louis to start the slide down.

It was great while it lasted though!
