Buc is not getting benched or demoted. These hypatheticals are killing me. If Bodha had his way we would have drafted Mixon and Dwash would be our starting QB.... nuff said.

Well, if he's only not starting because of talent in front of him, not because of himself, no biggie imo. If he can ball he will see lots of snaps

This is not accurate. Reddick is not starting because he has never played ILB before. It is his inexperience not the talent that he is behind.

If you want to play semeantics, there are a myriad of reasons he wont start right away. New to the position, skill and talent in front of him, learning the p[laybook, ability to produce on the field and more.

I mean, if he lights up training camp and is clearly the best ILB on the roster he will likely start. I do not expect him to do that regardless of singular reasons.

For those of us disgusted with the upcoming options laid out by others, we're just preparing ourselves for panic.

I feel like a father who knows that he's losing his job in a few months but have to put on a bold face while the rest of the family enjoys summer vacation, haha.

Assuming we have a strong 2017, like I'm expecting, I don't think there's going to be any QB options in 2018 that aren't a real bitter pill to me to personally swallow.

ah come on...you'll swallow and ya know it!

Bruce Arians: Haason Reddick was better than any QB on draft board

When the Arizona Cardinals were on the clock during the first round of last month's NFL draft, there was little -- if anything -- that would've dissuaded them from selecting Temple linebacker Haason Reddick.

Two weeks after the Cardinals made Reddick the No. 13 overall pick, coach Bruce Arians told ESPN that it wouldn't have mattered if any or all of the top quarterback prospects were still on the board as long as Reddick was still available.

Mitch Trubisky. Patrick Mahomes. Deshaun Watson. None of them would have been picked next by the Cardinals.

"There wasn’t a quarterback near him on the board," Arians said. "And you can’t reach at that point in time."

Though Arians said the desire to draft a quarterback this year was real, it had to be the "right one." And as long as Reddick was still available, none of the quarterbacks were going to fit that bill.

As the draft unfolded, the Cardinals never found themselves in a position to draft a quarterback -- whether by choice or by how the board looked -- delaying for at least another year the discussion about who will replace Carson Palmer whenever his time in Arizona ends.

Wow...could totally be coach speak but didn't age well either way.
