what do you base this on? Even in games that he's been the number two (and still opposite a Pro-Bowl WR) he's completely sucked. So what are you basing this comment on?

I'd like to see him stick around because we don't need to add #3 WR to our list of needs. But, I think he's going to go somewhere where he has a shot to be a #1 or #2.

Good as gone.

I suspect that before the Cards break the bank to re-sign Johnson, they will look pretty hard at Breaston being the #3... he has better speed, more potential for YAC and does not have a history with the Cardinals as a "big-play drop the ball, over-rated draft pick" reputation with the fans... I am not convinced, like others have stated, that he has unreliable hands.

again, this is based on what? He was a number 2 as a rookie and was horrendous (to be expected as a rookie). He was a number ONE as a second year starter with Q out for the first 6 games and was... horrendous... and every time he's gotten the chance to step up he hasn't. Sure he could be a number one the Dolphins like Brian Gilmore and Larry whatever his name was for us, but that doesn't make them true number 1s.

He's OK but we do have alot of money tied up in WR. I don't think his skills really support a big contract, If we traded Fitz or Boldin, I could see keeping him around at a medium contract that would fit for a #2 receiver, but as what he is and on this team, he wasn't even worth the amount that it cost for a #18 pick. (I don't really know how much his contract was for but he hasn't really supplied much more productivity than Jeremy Urbhan this year and he has to be a minimum player).

I cannot tell you how many threads I have read in the past four years that start out "Bryant Johnson"

Honestly there is only one way to finish that thread with reasonable accuracy.

.....he sucks.

Let him go to Baltimore for big money based on his potential and then watch him disappear on the depth chart for a team that doesn's have a ten yard pass in their playbook or a Pro bowl WR like ever.

He deserves it. And i would take a Joe Jurevicious over him EVERY DAY of the week.

No heart - no hands - no focus. We can do better.

it would be tough if we put so much money in wr's. it would be kind of a bad karma move, but why don't we sign and trade him in the off season. maybe we can land a third rounder for him. this way we get something for him.

Pretty sure he's a free agent after this season, just like his buddy drafted before him, Calvin Pace.

I really dont think that the sign and trade works the same as in the NBA. I think I would rather have Bernard Berrian or another realy burner type to have as the third receiver. Maybe even Breaston can step up into that role. I think that would be alot smarter than using more cap space on BJ.
