Scooby: painfully slow

Yes, but isn't it just fantastic to see the energy, intensity and passion he plays with? I think it is, and I believe he eventually can become a special teams-star if he gets the chance. I would keep him on the roster.

Has to be a dozen backs about to be cut better than Penny. Capi and Ford should make the team. Had high hopes for Miller after his play at end of the season but he has had a bad preseason. Agree Chad Williams should not make this team.

I challenge BA saying penny can be a heck of a FB. FB has to run through holes and hit linebackers. Penny doesnt even do that with the ball in his hand, he just slams the pile and pushes forward.

Chad Williams so far sure looks like a bust, he will make the team because he was their third round pick. Sad.

Gotta question:

(I'm no techie, so instead of finding a video stream, I followed the play by play log and this game thread and haven't watched footage).

Reviewing the log, I saw a lot of long gainers by Denver where Miler was listed as the tackler. Which raises the question:

Was Miller making TD saving and run stuffing tackles? Or was he being beaten like a drum on short patterns by the man he was covering?

(Buehler?)

Miller was in on several tackles, but he tackles high and frequently doesn't wrap up. It's not so easy wrapping up when he hits as high as he does. Ford on the other hand is faster down the alleys and much more fundamental in his tackling. He saved a couple of long TDs alst night because he got to the tackle quick enough and wrapped up (waist and below). A FS cannot be late when the RB breaks through the second level, otherwise it's one easy cut and he's gone.

This should be CJ's last year in Az. Prolly need to keep Ellington around but he is a zero on ST's.

OL back ups are still a bit concerning, but at least they've been in the system awhile. Capi and Ross should make the cut, but I like B. Golden just as much.

There should be some decent PS players.

ESPN reporting that Rudy Ford made the roster, citing position and ST's ability.

Per Shefter & Urban: Cardinals trade reserve OL Tony Bergstrom to Ravens for a conditional 7th-round pick.

Looks like Toner is in!

why they say potentially they could get a 7th rounder
?

This happens all the time...get a conditional late round pick. He probably has to make the roster and/or play a certain number of snaps/games, before the Cards get the pick. Either way, he was going to be cut...at least now they have the potential to get something for him. The previous Snail Regime would have traded him, along with a bag of money, for just a box of cereal.

Yeah, they get some nice value for someone who wasn't going to make the squad.

My question is... Who is our C/G depth and please don't tell me Toner. He looked like ish after the Cowboys game.

i think wetzel in case of injury would be the first change
