Looking ahead to the next game I get worried again because it of course is on the road. Luck just never seems to be on our side in these matchups that we should win. Our defense forces a lot of turnovers and Buffalo turns the ball over a bunch and they'll be pressuring a QB who is an absolute stiff in the pocket. I still worry because we should have beaten the 49ers too...

I hope we have a good game plan because 3-4 sure would look nice.

Buffalo's D has played very well at home and I think they've had nothing but close games up there. It's going to be a dogfight.

Yep throw in the cold too. This game is far from a gimme! But We definately have the horses to win.

We are who we are (this week, a team that was at least 8 points better than a good Seattle team).

On paper we should be better over all than Buffalo, but you have to be careful of specific individual mismatches.

In this respect, the one that worries me the most is Moulds vs. our smaller CB's.

The other questionmark in my mind is whether our defense's ability to stop the run is legit or whether it's been more a matter of other teams not challenging us. If Buffalo throws a huge dose of Henry (& is McGahey playing these days?) at us to challenge our manhood, will our defense be up to the task of meeting that challenge?

And, of course, there's that "streak of rookie" that still lurks in the back of the psyche's of more than a few Cardinal players. Are we now, as a team, "over that?" Or could we once again regress and lose our poise or focus?

I think what we've been witnessing over the past several weeks is a team in the midst of growing up. But that process is not without its fits and starts. We will have arrived as a team when team maturity will no longer even be an issue and we can be confident that we know what we're going to get from the Cardinals in every game we play.

I think the key is getting after Bledsoe and that means do a good enough job on the run that we CAN tee off on pass downs with Pace and Berry and Dockett and make Drew turn it over. he's still got a great arm but he's holding the ball too long and taking so many sacks that he's started to get careless with his throws. We saw what Baltimore did to him, we gotta do the same thing.

Get after him. Buffalo's run defense appears to be better than their pass defense so one would assume we're going to need some more plays from our pass game. Assuming Quan can play that should give the whole team a HUGE emotional lift too.

In fact if I were Green I might consider running a trick play early with Quan throwing the ball to capitalize on that.

McGahee got more carries than Henry yesterday against Baltimore...he finished with 58 yds. on 16 carries (Henry had 27 on 7). I watched a lot of this game 'cuz my fantsy team started Moulds and Chester Taylor. Buffalo's offensive line looks bad, and the announcers were saying as much. Bledsoe can't move at all, but when given time (which happened no more than a handful of times) can still get off a nice deep ball that Moulds usually comes down with. The Buffalo D looked good, but it was against Boller and a Lewis-less running attack (Baltimore can run the ball, but they are no threat to beat anyone with the passing game).

If the Cards play the kind of game they played yesterday, both offensively and defensively, they can win this game. I also hear it's not sold out, which is rare in Buffalo, and that Bills fans are ready to lynch both Bledsoe and Malarkey.

That is correct, there are tickets left for the game, at least as of yesterday. It won't be that cold yet, or at least it won't be as big a problem as rain and wind could be.

The Bills offensive line sucks and if not for Miami's being even worse you'd hear even more about how bad they are. Mike Williams is quickly being considered a bust, nearly everyone wants JP in as soon as possible and the defense isn't really any better than Arizona's. It's just that since they were ranked 2nd last year and the fact that they are compared to the Bills offense, the Bills defense looks good. But you can just as easily say their defense should have allowed one less score as you could say the offense is always one score short in their losses.

The pass defense failed them at critical times in every loss they've had. They are prone to giving up big plays. With Quan back I think this plays right into Denny's hands. Vincent will probably still be out and Nate Clements is very susceptible to playfakes/being overly agressive. Toss it up to Fitz, let him go up for it and maxamize the chance Clemets takes himself out of the play trying to get a pick or something.

This is definitely a winnable game for the Cards.

Weather.com says Sunday should be 54 degrees with a 20% chance of rain.

If we play with the same amount of intensity we should come home with our first road win in a long time. Our defense is MUCH better than their offense. We will run well against them because we will set that up with the passing game. My fingers and toes are crossed and I think we may be for real.

I watched a bit of the buffalo game as I was flipping around during commercials.

It looked like Bledsoe was going to walk off the field in the 3rd quarter and not come back. He was disgusted with his teamates...

We need this game, because WE WILL WIN in Miami. I expect to see Q and Dockett play thier arses off in Miami.

Anyways, we'll need more out of Smith and Hambrick if we are going to win in Buffalo. It will be cold, so running the ball is the way to go. Short passes to Jones will also be useful.
