I saw that. I guess he was taken #56 in this past draft. We may have something there. I see why they signed him outright rather than waiting out 10 day deals. We signed him for the remainder of this season and there's a partial guarantee for next year. I don't believe it's for very much, not enough to make a difference in our offseason plans outside of having an extra roster spot accounted for. Perhaps he's insurance if we can't keep Holmes on a reasonable contract also.

Spalding moves really well, has height and is athletic. We agree, there is a lot to like.

Part of that is Melton. He's not a threat to score, at all. I like his intensity and hope he works on his shooting this offseason because he has more of a future than some of the other duds we've had in here but at his current level he shouldn't be higher than 3rd string.
