Suns are on fire right now.

I think they relaxed a little against the Clippers but they did recover and put the game away.

Lets go Suns and beat the Bulls.

Bulls looked surprisingly good last night(for the Bulls). They seemed to have a lot of energy. I don't expect it to carry over.

The Suns have 3 home games coming up that are all very winnable with Chicago, Milwaukee & New Orleans coming into town. They need to take care of the home court before they end the month @ Utah.

It's been really fun watching the Suns this season and it's great to expect them to win or at least be able to win every game. In the back of my mind, I'm still expecting them to have a let down every night, but so far that's only happened in the Cavs game.

As gawdy as Amare's stats are Nash's are more amazing. 12 apg plus #2 in scoring % is absolutely unheard of for a guard.

I don't see how Amare's scoring #'s are going to drop. Its not like he's on a hot shooting streak. He scores on such high percentage plays. He could lead this league in scoring for a long, long time.

we all know amare when he entered the league was an absolute freak, but the thing that gets me is his learning curve. Both him and LBJ seem to pick things up faster than anyone before them sans MJ.

Here's KG's numbers in his first 7 seasons:
RPG APG PPG
6.3 1.8 10.4
8.1 3.1 17.0
9.6 4.2 18.5
10.4 4.3 20.8
11.8 5.0 22.9
11.4 5.0 22.0
12.1 5.2 21.2

Here's Dirk's numbers in his first 6 seasons:
RPG APG PPG
3.5 1.0 8.2
6.4 2.5 17.5
9.2 2.1 21.8
10.0 2.4 23.4
9.9 3.0 25.1
8.7 2.7 21.8

Here's Amare's numbers in his first 2.1 seasons:
RPG APG PPG
8.7 1.0 13.5
9.1 1.4 20.6
9.2 0.7 28.7

All have decent 1st years (with Amare with the best), all have exponential growth during the second year, but after that its really a gradual expansion to dominance for most. Amare has had exponential growth so far his 3rd year as well. Eventually, I'm sure we'll see some of this gradual stuff, but right now it still seems like his game is growing by leaps and bounds.

I'll say this, this is about impossible to continue into next season, because if it did, he'd be averaging 36/10, basically surpassing Shaq, Kareem, Hakeem, etc (without titles of course), and entering the status of a modern day Wilt.

As a sidenote, Wilt was a beast! His worst season, he grabbed a paltry 18.2 boards, his best season, he avg'd 50.4 ppg and 25.7 rpg while shooting 51%. At least Amare has him on the percentages! :)

I guess amare's passing ability is underrated. he doesn't pass because he usually doesn't need to:

amare's total assists before tonight: 7
1st quarter in bulls game: 4

that's nash-esque :)

San Antonio down against Memphis very late in the 4th. Utah down 15 to New Orleans at the half. Dallas and Minneosta tied after 3.

Could be a good night for the Suns.

I predict as of today - this team goes 55-27.

Nice way to clean up the slop from the East again tonight boys - solid work!

I can't wait till the end of the month - Utah and Minnesota - then we'll really see where we're at, but in the mean time keep destroying bad teams hope int he first half like you've been doing!

I certainly don't like how slow we come out in the first quarters of games. Any theories why that is? (Today seems to be an exception)

Perhaps complacency? Also, Amare has had some early foul trouble lately.

I would rather the slow first (although we did score near 30 today) than the slow third we used to have.

Used to have? ESPN says that we only scored 12 points in the 3rd tonight. :(
