Yeah, the draft was actually picked in a way that was pretty intelligent. Much different than the fantasy football and suds type vibe before.

The synergy between Monti and the coaching staff is a positive. We haven't had that since the early BA days. I am anxious to see how the coaches work with these draft choices.

That is a huge key..everyone's on the same page; alligned...cheesy cliche but so true when organizations are winning. The picks were all big time schools too with proven levels of competition. The Simon pick was so well thought out. 4th round ILB who has played well in big games. He was under drafted and a Card was there? Changing culture...that never happens. Usually the Cards are reaching.

I'm really disappointed Monti continues to ignore Keim's tried true method of drafting FCS directional state players in the 1st 4 rounds.
not a defense of Keim, but

i think with the transfer portal, players who are 1-4 round talent end up in the Power 5

It's a good point. I absolutely love this FO and coaching staff (except for the demonic Michael Bidwill of course).

Just thinking back to all of the chaos of the final couple of SK years makes me appreciate what we have now.

MO maybe still finding his way a little, but he clearly has a long term plan. He's clearly trying to build a roster that can string together multiple winning seasons.

He needs a few of his draft picks to pay him off a little. That would help his cause.
