Sugar!

Not bad of an episode, good not great. Gilroy apparently means business if he had that guy killed when he messed up. We'll see how Michael handles it.

What is interesting is that this is basically 3 different people in a row (2 of which he didn't have much choice) that Michael has gotten "in bed" that didn't exactly have his best interests at heart. After getting burned and these "badies" he has gotten involved with, how can he possibly feel like he has any control of his life??

Madeline kicked some freaking butt in the finale. So glad she didnt give Michael up.

I can't wait for the new season in June. Where the hell was Michael at?

I can't wait for next season either, but I very much hope the writers find an original storyline. I'm very tired of the 'but I HAVE to work with psychopath X from my past to discover what he's up to' schtick. I probably won't watch the season if that's what it turns into again.

USA feeling the 'Burn'
Variety.com
By STUART LEVINE

USA Network has given a go-ahead for seasons five and six of "Burn Notice" -- continuing a noticeable trend of cablers showing confidence by reupping shows before having significant ratings data to consider.

Season four is still two months away from launching. But USA says the series -- the No. 1 show in cable -- will continue to be a ratings juggernaut and wants it to remain in the lineup for years to come.

"Once 'Saturday Night Live' makes fun of you,' how can you not commit to extra seasons?" president of original programming Jeff Wachtel told Daily Variety.

Wachtel is referring to a skit on the venerable NBC latenight franchise in which gameshow contestants were quizzed about "Burn Notice."

Network execs say seasons five and six will run a minimum of 15 and 18 episodes, respectively. Season four is shooting in Miami and season five will begin production in about a year.

Wachtel said an integral decision in success of the skein succeed came in the development process when USA topper Bonnie Hammer asked that the location be moved from Newark, N.J., to Miami to give it more a blue-sky quality. "That was a crucial moment in the life of the show," Wachtel said.

Jeffrey Donovan starrer has been a ratings powerhouse since its inception in June 2007. Including live-plus 7 data, "Burn Notice" closed out season averaging 7.1 million viewers and 3.3 million in the 18-49 demo. The final episode was a whopper with 6.1 million tuning in.

USA just finished the first quarter as the No. 1 network in ad-supported cable and recently announced a handful of pilots scripts that it believes will keep its momentum going. Newest series set to preem is "Covert Affairs," which will start most likely in July.

I thought the premiere was a tad boring, but it was cool to see Fi and Sam working together and throwing Michael right into it when he got back. Gabrielle looked amazing I thought. Itt seems she gained 2 or 3 pounds which, on her frame, looked great. She could use a few more.

2nd episode was interesting with the new Jesse character. He's pretty hot.

I wouldnt mind a Michael-Jesse-Fi triangle as I like the Michael/Fi angst. And it seems this Jesse guy is a blow/shoot things first ask questions later type, just like Fi. Should be fun!

Yeah it was a tad slow but the look on Michael's face when everyone was like welcome back like he had not left was funny.

I have to say I am getting a little tired of <insert bad guy here> pulling Michael's strings only for him to get out of it by seasons end. They need to get a little more creative IMO.

I agree on that point -- I can think of some ways to tweak that so Michael still is burned, but either temporarily gains control or makes a really useful alliance (foreign or criminal) that actually gets his 'mysterious controller' under his thumb, with all the attendant moral and patriotic dilemmas. I can think of a few characters from past episodes that would be interesting to reintroduce to stir things up a bit, too.

I'm not wild about the Jesse character, but its early.

Glad it's back on, but, man... I am so lost on the mythology of this show. I might have to go and watch all the old seasons again.

I hope Jesse sticks around, I like him as the 4th member. Still can't believe he did that to Fi's house... wow.

I'll check it out again, but this show is now on a very short leash for me. If it falls into the same boring mold as it has been in as long as I can remember, I'll be done with it. The end of last season suggests that they might be past that, so we'll see.

ANYBODY watching the final season?!

I am! I am really liking it, even though its been a deviation from the usual comedy/light-hearted episodes of the past. I am sad this show is ending, but it was probably time. They are going all out with this season, that's for sure.
