I vote for the red pants to make an appearance, if they can find them. Red on red rocks.

Monochrome uniforms are so high school. Look how ugly the Seahawks total green look is. Makes me want to add some of my own green to the mix via vomit. When players wear same color pants and shirts it is very difficult to see the players for me. My alma mater Mizzou has ditched the traditional gold pants for all black. Mizzou is black and gold not black and black.

I would like them to shock everyone and come out in the white on white uniforms from the early eighties...classic. Don't get me wrong, I love the new uniforms as well.

I just wish we had a red helmet to go with the rest of it.

Yeah...I still would like to see this:

As far as any other throwbacks go...the only "legal" one is the previous Red jersey with the older White pants (two Red stripes).

That is exactly what I was thinking of. I thought it was you who had put it up before but I wasn't sure. Nice.

For a logo to stand out it needs contrast. A dark color on a light color or vice versa. That is why you see white numbers on red jersey and red numbers on white jersey. Compare how much the black falcon stood out on the falcons old red helmets with the primarily black logo on black helmet. If not outlined with big ugly white outline, which is not part of their primary color scheme, it would net show up at all at a distance. Also note how the Seahawks logo on their old silver helmets stood out so much more that it does on their green helmets. Green on green blends.

I have a lot of complaints about Bidwill but am pretty sure he will never ditch the basic uniform colors and schemes that he has always had. White helmet with the bird head and red as primary uniform color. This is one thing he has gotten right. Although I still like the old uniforms much better. New stuff has too much clutter. The numbers and red on jersey are not same color of red. The home jerseys have those tiny weird geometric white patches which hardly can be seen.

Legal, what do you mean? Will they wear it this year?

If the Eagles can wear their butt ugly uniforms from the dawn of time...the old white on white has to be legal...right?

The NFL (or more specifically Reebok) uses very strict standards for color reproduction. I can guarantee you that the colors are - for the most part - based on the same colors, but the difference is in the materials used. The tackle twill numbers, jersey fabric, and pant material are all different, and all reflect light differently. This is why you sometimes see the illusion of different shades of Red.

Oh - and the Seahawks' helmets are Blue, not Green.
