Of course it is. But establishing his value by pointing to one big game against a team known for terrible interior defense is equally ridiculous. I was rebutting the evidence, not the conclusion.

I understand what you were doing. All I am saying is, anyone with any kind of basketball acumen, can watch those three play and should recognize that Andrew is a better player.

Either way, I doubt they ive him an extension, until they see him back playing and healthy. His agent can ask all he wants, but there is no reason (that I know of) that the Lakers have to do anything until they see Andrew healthy.

Minimally I can see Bynum having a career like Jermaine O'Neal, although I project much better. I'm still trying to figure out who he would resemble if he continues to develop. Bynum has a much better NBA body than O'Neal. Anybody want to project what player he might resemble if he reached his upside? Perhaps Hakeem.

Interesting. This is one of those great brainstorms over beers type discussion.

OK. :)

I dont recall numerous GMs requesting Big Jake in trade deals since his rookie season.

Big Jake got injured at the start of 2002-03 and went from very slow to glacial. In any case, a the game started focusing on speed and quickness, he couldn't compete.

I'm sorry, but to say Bynum could be Hakeem is stretching to an alarming degree. Hakeem is quite possibly one of the top 2 or 3 centers of ALL TIME. Even without his injury, Bynum would never approach that.
