He had nothing along side of him all year so he was the target of double teams. I saw him being double teamed a lot this season.
Great players split double teams they just do sorry they just do.
He's getting 15 million a year.

Such a bunk excuse im tired of hearing. Great players especially ones that make 15+ million dollars should be splitting double teams a few times a game and making pays.. Not disappearing for a few games at a time like they ar neon existent. That also doesn't explain his complete disappearance in his ability to bat down passes which doesn't even exist anymore..

To be fair, he's only "making" $9.5M in the last year of his deal — his cap number is $15M from pro-rated bonuses.
FWIW, I don't think you get better on defense by cutting the third-best member of your defense with no plan to replace him. He's a team captain who has been productive for the last 7 years and was just named to his second Pro Bowl. He's not J.J. Watt, but he's still arguably the best 3-4 DE in the NFL.
I think that Chopper's generally right that the Cards should seek to extend Campbell for 2-3 years in a way that gives him $12M this year but reduces his cap number to $7M or so for the rest of the deal.
Ide be ok with that... I'm not saying cut him but his cap number needs to be addressed. To be fair, he's only "making" $9.5M in the last year of his deal — his cap number is $15M from pro-rated bonuses.
