Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams may not have been able to carry his team to the season success they would've liked this past year, but he showed signs of how good he can be in the NFL.

Williams, who threw for 3,541 yards, 20 touchdowns, and just six interceptions, displayed talent that shows he could potentially be the answer to the Bears' search for a long-term franchise quarterback.

Despite going 5-12 in his rookie year, Williams' play has drawn the attention of many around the league, including his new head coach Ben Johnson who faced him twice as a coach with the Detroit Lions. Johnson departed Detroit to become the Bears head coach this offseason, and he's not the only one who wanted to be with Williams this offseason.

After a 10-year career with the Atlanta Falcons, defensive tackle Grady Jarrett was released just before the start of free agency and Chicago wasted no time in signing him. When introduced to the media on Wednesday, Jarrett revealed that he wanted to be in Chicago, and part of that was because of the young gunslinger they have on offense.

"You want to go somewhere where they've got a good quarterback," Jarrett said, via Marquee Sports Network. "To have a quarterback who was the number one pick, is only going to get better, have a new offensive minded head coach that's going to be able to spend time with him, and be able to train him up to get the things he needs. I think Caleb's ceiling is super high, I've watched him from afar, admired from afar since he's been in college, and I'm excited to play with him."

That's more than a resounding endorsement for the young quarterback who will enter his second season with a new coaching staff and major upgrades to the roster.
