In a heartbeat, he'd be better than Rattay or Hasselbeck, as long as he came with the understanding that he'd never be more than a back-up but he'd be allowed to compete with Warner for the number 2 next season.

Plummer was frustrating as hell when he was here but then it was hoped he'd be our future, he's a little older, a little wiser and everyone knows his limitations. Plus his mobility wouldn't hurt.

Why trade for him? He's a garbage QB, no better than a #3, I wouldn't want him starting for us under any circumstance, I have more faith in Rattay.

I LOVED Jake. I really, truly did. But his mind isn't in the game. He doesn't want to play. He would SUCK.

somewhere deep in the city of Phoenix a little old man in a bow tie is shining "The Snake" symbol from a spotlight against a crimson sky. Batman showed up and reminded him that Jake is old but so is Vinny. LOL

I don't think he would. but that is something we would have to find out now. At Denver he looked a lot better and though he did throw some picks, he was more consistent in not throwing them

Getting Jake would cost a draft pick and a 4-5M salary. You can't pony up that much scratch for one position in a salary-cap league.

Jake had 6 years here, and he was a constant source of frustration. He ticked off Denver fans, too.

No thanks.

I didn't realize he cost that much...forget it then. If it was for around a million I'd do it without hesitation.

No freaking way. First of all, we'd have to cut a big salary or two to make it work. That alone rules him out. Actually, that's enough of an argument. You can't trade for him, you just can't.

If any of you are trying to say thast Tim Rattay is a better QB than Jake Plummer you an absolute utter ******. Please let it be known who you are so that I can ignore everything you say from here on out.

You people are acting like spoiled bratty little girls. Our franchise has gone down the drain through injuries the past two weeks. We dont get to be choosy little grudge-holding pansies. We need to go after the best QB available. Right now, that could very well be Jake. I think either JJ or Shipp would get him sent here.

Funny, I hear spoiled bratty kids using the word "******" all the time. Anyway, Jake is not coming back. First off, he made the decision to retire. He wasn't forced to leave the game. Secondly, NFL trades happen so infrequently. They can't talk him out of retirement, work out a trade and make it work cap-wise overnight. This isn't fantasy football, guys.

OK smart guy, all I said was that Plummer was better than Rattay. Thank you for atleast having the balls to designate yourself as someone who i will never have to pay attention to again.

Oh, I'm sure we will end up going to a game sometime ...

Anyway, Jake is retired. He's said it many times. I just think it's funny that some people want to come up with these great plans to bring him back. But why settle for him? Steve Young and John Elway could probably learn the playbook quickly. We wouldn't even have to give up draft picks!

Justin.... I laughed out loud when I read that.

I would go get Jake right now. Remember people, Tampa called us last week. They have interest.

Jake was in the AFC championship game like 2 or 3 years ago. He is not a horrible QB.

And honestly, the dude should retire a Cardinal. That's my belief.

Okay, so how do we do it? Who do you cut from the team to make it work? We'd need to create at least 3mil in cap space, maybe more.

Umm... doesn't Jake actually have to retire in order to be even a consideration? I could have sworn he never officially retired and therefore the Bucs and Broncos were pursuing millions on signing bonuses or something like that. Anyways with that in mind wouldn't Tampa actually have to agree to trade him? Why would they do that when he would make an excellent insurance policy for themselves?

Considering ALL OF THAT... don't you actually have to have something of value to trade? Who might we be able to trade that 1) we can do without and 2) is actually worth a damn to Tampa? P.S. Don't say Marcel Shipp. He is not that valuable to Tampa on one hand and on the other... he is actually one missed block away from starting here.

So in short.... Not going to happen.
