Once again, I am sick of the Suns fans that show up to a game and don't have any idea what is going on. First, the Suns gave away orange shirts to the fans to wear...they call it ORANGE out...that means you wear the darn shirt....I saw so many fans that didn't wear their free shirt and didn't even have suns gear on. They were dressed in their club shirts or crop tops...come on, this is the playoffs...wear your orange, or go home!!!! Please, there are so many passionate fans out there that would kill to go to the game and they would wear the orange shirt. Come to the game in your SUNS gear or go home!!! ....the clubs are not even open on SUNDAY...who the hell are you going to impress? Second, watch the game!!! Don't sit there and talk about what you did on Friday...I hate those so called fans who stand up and cheer not because they saw the play, but because the fans next to them or in front of them stood up to cheer...PATHETIC!!! Where is the passion?

This is a calling for all true Suns fans to come out to the game!!! We need to get rid of these high ticket fans who, for some reason, think it is cool to wear their club shirts, crop tops and shiny shoes to a playoff game on a SUNDAY afternoon......give me a fricking break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am ranting but I don't give a darn...let's go SUNS!!!!

Suns party this Friday at KCs Sushi Sports Bar on Guadalupe and Gilbert...I will be the crazy fan in my Marion Shirt!!! Come on out and support your team!! This is a great place to watch the game. The owner plays the sound of the game over the audio system. See you there!

Wow, that is crazy. I cant believe they gave away the shirts and got that little participation. I totally understand your anger.

I remember in the 1980's when the Suns played the Portland Trailblazers at the Madhouse and it was so loud that Danny Ainge was holding his ears. Well, that was back when the Suns weren't a way to hold a business meeting, and instead it was a basketball game. Over the years, Colangelo let it be known that his fans were to consist of the Biltmore crowd with higher ticket prices and he even put home playoff games on pay per view for awhile. As a kid, I loved the Suns, but over time I have come to the conclusion that although I will root for them, I have no interest in ever going to a game, because the crowd sucks, the atmosphere sucks, and quite frankly the product isn't all that great. And most of it is the Suns fault, but they don't really care about fans making noise or anything like that because they'll always have the fat cats in there buying tickets, conducting conference calls on their blackberries in the final two minutes of a playoff game.

If anyone wants to see what is was like a decade ago, go find a copy of the Phoenix Suns 25th Anniversary VHS tape. Night and day, and its pretty sad. I think that this is also why I love going to Cardinals games so much. The fans rule, win or lose, and no matter how many are there. Out of the NHL, NFL, NBA, and MLB, the NBA fans are defintely the worst.

That's nothing.

I was in at least 4 different cities today (Mesa, Tempe, Scottsdale, and Gilbert) before, during and after the game.

We saw a Suns decal on one vehicle.

That's all.

No flags waving from car windows. No cars decorated in purple and orange. Heck, not so much as a hat or shirt.

We saw other sports hats/shirts/decals (other NBA teams, NHL, MLB, even arena football) - just no Suns gear.

I was wearing a Lakers shirt, hat, and lanyard all day. In the past that would have gotten some comments, but these days I only get razzed by my family and the posters here who support the Suns.

I can honestly say I miss the Madhouse on McDowell - and I'm a Lakers fan. The games I saw there were rocking, exciting games - regardless of the opponent or the "importance" of the games.

Listening to some local sports stations after today's game all the talk was about how close the game was, how lame the "Orange Out" was and questions about where the fan support is in this town.

As bad as it sounds, a player will have to call the fans out if there is going to be a difference- and I don't even know if that will work.

Suns games are about showboating your wealth, or pretending to be wealthy, for 80% of the people there- not about basketball. It's a shame. Please shoot me if Cardinal games ever get that way.

Please don't talk about Cardinals games getting that way. The thought of that sent chills up my spine. I want the team to win, and win it all, but there are so many factors that keep me from really getting pumped about it. Aside from all of the above, I am sick of the flopping and bad calls. No other sport is decided so many times by bad officiating, not even college basketball. And I hate to say it, but unless Tim Duncan blows his knee out, we all know how this story ends.

And what ever happened to the music during the games that started chants like "defense"??? Do they really ever have to play "Beverly Hills" by Weezer on an offensive possession?

:stupid:

There's a part of me that hates to see the Cards leave SDS. It's not knowing how the crowds will be in the new place.

I know for the near future the diehards and longtime season ticket holders will keep the atmosphere the same, but in time the ticket prices will rise and the ownership may look to attract the same business-minded crowd (picture fans sipping lattes while working on their laptops... :| ).

I wonder if security will still act like the gestapo when it comes to retrieving a football kicked into the stands. :|

Well, they should be the same, as all the diehards are the ones getting the tix.

I think that the pregame ritual of tailgating, (AKA binge drinking to cut down on expensive beer in the stadium), will always keep fans rowdy and upset enough of the uppity crowd to keep the NFL the NFL. No worries.

I will never go to another Suns or Diamondbacks game as long as I live in this town.

I am to rowdy for "them"

I have been kicked out of both for reasons I will never understand.

I would rather sit at home and get drunk for a 1/4 of the price and i can pump my fist and jump out of my seat and not have some dude in a cardigan look at me like I am the crazy one

Don't get the impression that the US Airways Arena was "country club". The place was rocking, and would have been moreso had PHX done something in the 2nd/3rd quarters.

Every arena is going to have your pretentious "fans".

Laker Fan was sure quiet, though.

I was there also and was going to post something like this too. They ran out of shirts fairly early and most of the people that got them put them on if they didn’t already have suns gear. (not that there’s an excuse for coming to a playoff game without suns gear in the first place though) I thought it was loud as heck in there. Maybe it just didn’t transfer to TV. Kobe got booed every time he touched the ball. After that no-call towards the end they put an extreme close-up of his face on the big screen and the crowd just went nuts.

Those loooong commercial breaks didn’t help though. You can only watch the little entrainment shows so much before getting a little antsy. I kept looking for my DVR remote so I could fast-forward through it.

Best line of the night from our section went like this...

"Barbosa is TEARING you up, Kobe!".

No, the best line is when the crowd started chanting "kobe sucks," classic! That was a loud chant.
